Here's a way to do it manually.
Select Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners or use the following button. Open the Printers & scanners settings.
Select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find nearby scanners, then choose the one you want to use, and select Add device.

Thanks for sharing how to scan and save the documents. That’s very helpful. But I was wondering, when you scan multiple documents, can they be saved into one PDF? I tried doing so, but when I saved the pages, they saved in my documents as separate PDF documents and was unable to combine them into one. Thanks.

My laptop does not have a CD ROM, and the canon app doesn't have an install download for my mg 2500 printer, how can I install my. Canon mg 2500 printer?

This was fine and helped me scan a document into PDF format. But I cannot seem to find how to scan a document of any kind into a jpg format, and it's nearly impossible to find amongst the 500+ pages of their manual. Is there a YouTube covering this? If so, I cannot find it. Thank you.

Is there any way to press key on the printer itself to initiate a scan? I'd like to be able to be standing at the unit holding certain things down with my hands such that I can't reach the computer to operate the scan utility with my mouse/keyboard. I've looked but haven't seen any evidence that there is a function "scan manually" button that is a hidden feature of one of the buttons on the unit. (I kinda thought there WOULD be.)

To scan a document from my all-in-one printer, i use a free program called Irfanview. It works quite well too.!
