This is the Shane Lee aka Spare Change origin story. Honestly was super interested in hearing about all the details. Really loved hearing his passion for this journey and for all the gear he has auditioned.

Awesome review. Having a gain matched amp/ processor that’s able to produce no hiss is definitely a deciding factor for a lot of people considering this amp if they have a Trinnov processor. I wished you went over the bi-amp feature, and how warm the amp got. Since it’s a class D amp it was probably only slightly warm to the touch anyway. It sounds like you will be switching out the Macs.

Adding (2) to my system myself has been the biggest and most drastic change to my home theater.

The noise floor is now silent in the theater, the power and sound these deliver is one of the best home theater amps I have heard.

Simply fantastic craftsmanship from the Trinnov team!

Story Time - This is inspiring. We likely all have a journey that started with inspiration and progressed through the experience and swap pursuit of that which we love / enjoy. As the technology changes from era to future, it's nice to keep the community up to date on just how these ' end games ' are achieved.

I really enjoyed hearing the process. This feel very natural and real world, however fortunate the 'spare change' is accumulated .. It's motivating for many to keep a dream and always pursue it.

Great video!

Awesome review Shane! This is definitely an endgame amplifier to go with the processor!!!

Shane you just described the common class D signature of an N Core amp in the Trinnov Amp. The problem with this expensive amp is that except for the gain matching with the processor, you can obtain similar sonic and dynamic results from more affordable class D multichannel amps. Thanks for the thorough review, and specially including the two channel performance.

Really enjoyed your timeline of how you progressed through different equipment.
I've heard the trinnov processor and amp combo that demoed A Quiet Place and agree the noise floor is ridiculously low and makes that film magical. I haven't heard anything better and if I'm on your same progression path only 4 years until I'll have one myself 😃

Interesting video. I switched to Class D Hypex NCore amps about a year ago. My goal was to have identical amplification for all 13 channels, and I already had a Monolith 7 channel amp. So, I just figured I'd grab a second Monolith at some point. When I was ready to buy I started poking around just to see if there was anything else I was interested in checking out and I found myself very intrigued by these multichannel Class D amps. So I ordered one up and figured I'd go with whichever I amp I preferred, the Monolith or Hypex. I really loved the Hypex amps. Ton of power, light weight (at least compared to to the Monolith), and super quiet. I also felt like it was really neutral sound that, for me, closer replicated the sound at a movie theater. I really don't see myself going back to a solid state amp for home theater use.

Great video, very well put together! Loved the storytelling and context background you included in here as well. And covering both HT and 2-ch listening is great too. Thanks for making this video Shane!

Great video. Better, smarter and shared a journey I believe a lot of us can relate to. A quiet place is a great movie to demo your HT sound system. Those subtle sounds, like the insects, the sound of the river at the beginning part, really can tell you the difference, well, if you can hear it ;)

Love the romantic music playing while Shane discusses his Atmos experience with the Pixar movie "Brave". I thought we might finally see him cry. Nope. 😅😭🤣

Another interesting, informative review. Trinnov products being way above my comfort level in MSRP, (as were Zappiti, then later Anthem, ) but still like to read and hear about Trinnov products, even since partnering with Zappiti. When you mentioned the 8M being powered by NC modules my interest was piqued. I then noticed online the back of the 8M has made in the USA by Amplifier Technologies. I use an ATI 523 and 524 in my system, for LCR, and bed layer surround duty. No hiss from those two either, but they don't have D825 connection jacks, but then my Anthem MRX 1140 doesn't either. They were pricey at 5200 for both, but way less than the 8M. Also using an Outlaw 5000X for 4 overhead channels, and a Crown XLi 2500 for the 2 subs, no hiss from those 2 amps either.
