I think those prices are comparable to costs in many mainland US locations.

Prices look less expensive than in Boulder, Colorado (US)! That’s surprising to me.

Large supermarket and large selection of products for a community of 2, 400 residents. Mind blown!

Your eggs are $2.00 cheaper than Northern California!!! This amazes me. Love the quick trip to the grocery store!! Hugs to Grim❤️🐕

I followed you because of the scenery. I stayed because of your personality…and maybe Grimm 😁. You’re so cute with your voice over! Especially love the “ok bye” at the end.

Wow - the prices you quoted in this video are actually less than I'm now paying in upstate New York. Apparently our current inflation is not happening in Norway. (Assuming your food prices are sort of determined by Norway, with the shipping cost add-on).

That supermarket looks really good for such a remote place!

Dear Cecilia, Your channel is my absolute favourite. I’m a little obsessed. My hubby & son know it’s happy channel. I like to start every day with you, the boys hear your voice Cecilia, they leave me alone with my coffee for my therapy session. Hope it’s okay that I live vicariously through you but hope to come to Svalbard someday as I am learning Norwegian. We live in Canada & love the cold. Coldest here this winter was -45 Celsius windchill. My son went out for a walk taking pictures that night & they are beautiful!

I can see Grim at the Meat counter asking, "I'll take one of everything!" 😂

Crisp bread is now my favourite thing to think about😂 it’s correct but it just sounds like someone in Sweden was overly lazy translating Knäckerbröd into English and I LOVE it

Two friends of mine are on Svalbard right now. They're huge fans. Fingers crossed they bump into you. We're all in love with Svalbard thanks to you!

We live in a " Lower cost of living " area in the US and are prices are way higher. Eggs are $8 a dozen and still rising. Some people are paying over $12 a dozen on eggs in the states. An item that use to be fairly cheap. Prices rise almost weekly and have for years. It cost a fortune for us to get groceries.

no matter where you live, food is expensive. (since corona period) I live in Turkiye and last couple of years price of everything reached to top.

I am guessing you guys do not have any fast food places so what options do you have for dinning out? With the different cultures, do you have a range of different dinning places?

I love that she got tripped up about what she was supposed to be saying but still kept that part in the video 😂. She’s so relatable.

I'd like to live there for a year. I could work at the hospital, play guitar and drink beers! Yay!

ya the lower 48 is definitely higher than ever! even here in the Deep South where I am it’s as expensive here as places like parts of NYC, South Florida and other large cities and we don’t have good paying jobs to supplement
