Shakespeare is one of my favorite writers of all time. I was very surprised to learn that I actually like "Romeo and Juliet", after studying it in English Literature class in high-school.

And there's far more than that - "MacBeth", "Anthony and Cleopatra", "Coriolanus", "Othello", "Hamlet", all of which I've had the pleasure of studying during my classes or for my exams.

Anyone who seeks to "cancel" the Bard is an uncivilised brutish barbarian, a despised despoiler, an enemy of Civilization.

Our family went to small-town England for a vacation recently and it was great. But one of the things we considered doing was visiting Stratford-upon-Avon and seeing a play there. Go to that website and look up the productions. It is the wokest thing ever, worse than Ivy League schools, even worse than the people holding Monticello hostage so that you can't learn a single fact about Thomas Jefferson without a lecture about slavery. Every sentence was Newspeak about DEI, and the descriptions of the plays were self-satire. Julius Caesar was Orange Man Bad. The Tempest was about Climate Change. Midsummer Nights Dream is now a trans allegory. Hard pass for us, and I bet the place is ten times worse now
