I did all of this the exact way and it didn't work for me. I flashed Volumio on to the sd chip, stuck it in my raspberry pi 4 and it didn't load on my 5 inch elecrow touchscreen. It runs forever on a white screen. I'm not sure if this screen is compatible?

So once I connected Pi to a 3.5 inch Waveshare display...no need Pi Os at all...only Pi.img file of Volumio is enough in SD card to run ...???

Is the network drive connected to a windows pc or is standalone?

This software is so full of bugs and many of the advertised options are behind a pay wall that you quickly move on to other software.
In addition, the advertised hardware on which the software should run has increased in price by 300% in the last year.
Volumio should first grow out of its infancy.
