Poppy Seed Cake - If you like poppy seed, this is THE Cake for you! 😍 It is sooo soft, moist, delicious, fast and easy to make and bursting with poppy seeds flavor!
Ingredients:
The Cake:
2 eggs
12 oz (340 g) sugar
10.2 oz (290 g - grams not milliliters) sunflower oil
10.6 oz (300 g) all-purpose flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
8.8 oz (250 g) ground poppy seed
12.85 us fl oz (380 ml) milk
Glaze:
3.5 oz (100 g) dark chocolate
6 tbsp sunflower oil

Preheat oven to 350F (180C)
Grease and flour baking pan.
Beat together eggs and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.
Add oil and mix to combine.
In another bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and poppy seed.
Gradually add flour mixture alternating with milk.
Pour the mixture into prepared baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
Let the cake cool before adding the glaze.
To make the glaze, melt dark chocolate over double boiler.
Add oil and stir well to combine.
Glaze should still be warm when pouring it over the cake.
Refrigerate minimum 3-4 hours before cutting the cake.
