2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Convertible | Real World Review | Autotrader
Показать описание
The new 2015 Ford Mustang is out, and while the 435-horsepower Mustang GT has been getting all the attention, we think drivers looking for a fun, affordable new convertible should instead set their sights on the model's 4-cylinder EcoBoost version. We recently spent some time with the Mustang EcoBoost Convertible, and we found ourselves pleasantly surprised with the car.
Yes, there's still a V6-powered Mustang, but it's less powerful and less efficient than the EcoBoost model. The EcoBoost offers 310 hp, and our model has a smooth 6-speed automatic. It boasts plenty of power while still touting more than 30 miles per gallon in highway driving.
On the outside, we like how the new 2015 Mustang looks, and the car's independent rear suspension transforms the old model's bouncy driving experience into a smooth, sporty ride. There's also an improved braking system for better stopping performance.
Inside, the Mustang offers better materials and a design that's sleeker than before. The top is easy to put up and down, and it does a good job of keeping noise out. We also like the wide range of features in our test car, including remote start and optional heated and cooled seats. Also available are Ford's SYNC system and the brand's ever-improving MyFord Touch system, along with a lot of safety features such as adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning and a blind spot monitoring system.
If you're looking for a real muscle car, the Mustang GT is a good choice. For bargain hunters, there's the V6 model. But if you want the best combination of price, fuel economy and fun in the Mustang lineup, our money is on the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Convertible.
