interesting strategy, personally I only invest in US & CAD stocks/etfs. Just looking at the abysmal growth of VIU doesn't inspire confidence :P good luck on the experiment tho

I used to use XUU, but found ZSP is better. Suggestion for a future video is to comment on TFSAs and US stocks...it seems a lot of people plunk US stocks into a TFSA without thinking about the tax implications. I still stay away from something like ZSP in a TFSA, but wonder if I did if there would be increased taxes on dividends vs Canadian based etfs.

Im brand new to all of this and just trying to learn right now but ive noticed in all of the videos ive watched everyone talks about vanguard. I was under the impression that blackrock was the largest investment group in hebworld and was on track for their whole "own nothing but be happy"is there a reason im unaware of that canadians seemingly prefer vanguard over blackrock? Thabkyou!

By 'retirement portfolio' do you mean for a 30 year old man investing for retirememt or for a 75 year old who is already retired and will be sprouting daisies in 15 years so is investing for a very generous amount of coffee and Naniamo bars for his wake? Very different.

You can replace those three with XEQT. Crypto is speculation, you don't explain why you want to hold it other than taking a gamble.
