Major General Alexander P. Stewart attempted to exploit the breakthrough in Union General Horatio Van Cleve's line, but through the help of Reynolds and Brannan beat back Confederate forces. The first day of the Battle of Chickamauga was coming to a close but more fighting was to come in this destructive Civil War battle.

I live 30 minutes from Chickamauga battlefield and live on Newsome Gap road in Johnson's Crook where 40, 000 Federals marched down my road up Lookout Mountain on the way to the battle. I am so fortunate to live in this area where this all took place. Thank you for this detailed video.

WH, this is a good presentation.
If no North arrow is used, the convention is that north is at the top of the map.
Here it seems that north is to the right.
If so, a North arrow would help orient the audience without much more complication.

My Great Great grandfather Private William Garner and my Great Great Great uncle Private John Garner both of the 32nd Tennessee Infantry Regiment part of Browns brigade of Stewart's division fought at Brotherton farm at Chickamauga

The Confederate flag represents people that stand up for what they believe in and defend the Constitution no matter people who do not like this flag should just deal with it because it's mostly southern people who are fighting for their freedom

As a national federation of Confederate women's organizations, the group brought together numerous women's associations working to memorialize the Confederacy.

As heirs to Confederate veterans, we will defend them as vigorously as our ancestors defended their causes.

May the Lord bless every defense of freedom, the constitution, and the Confederate flag. May the Lord bless the states that are: South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina. Kentucky and Missouri
