A King book is like a warm comfy blanket for me. His ability to draw you into the narrative and the characters so quickly is astounding

I started reading IT on Monday and Iยดm about 350 pages in and itยดs sooo good, Iยดm struggling to put it down!! Absolutely in love with the story and characters and I love the way Stephen King writes. So thank you for going on about his books because I wouldnยดt have read it if it wasnยดt for you planning on reading many many more

11/22/1963 is my favorite King book of all time. A masterpiece

I still haven't read beyond The Dark Tower series, but since I loved that series so much, I will definitely be reading more by King. It never hurts to have some additional motivation from a Mike's Book Reviews "Why You Should Read" video, though!

Because of you and your channel I will be embarking on my Stephen King literary journey with Salemโ€™s Lot next week.๐Ÿค“

Needful Things was the book that hooked me as a kid. As I read it I felt I was reading something I shouldnโ€™t, and it was so good. Because that one was my first, it remains my favorite, but so many are close favorites (and in reality better given they are masterpieces).

Salemโ€™s lot got me out of my reading slump earlier this year after a couple years and it was my first King book. Today Iโ€™ve just finished my 8th which is Dreamcatcher and Iโ€™m not planning on stopping anytime soon! His writings however thick and long at some point of the book, they just feel rewarding for me to spend the hours reading them. Also glad that I met different types of horror between those 2 and the other 6 (It, Shining, Dr. sleep, Cujo, Misery, Shawshank) and your point on Dark Tower series, I never find the urge to dig that one in, now theyโ€™re simply climbed my TBR list! Keep up the great work on your channel, Iโ€™m happy that I found your videos on Kingโ€™s work.

After reading the first few dark tower books, i started watching your videos for advice. Thanks so much man, you've open my eyes to so many more amazing Stephen King books, especially The Stand!

You've hit the nail on the head with this video.
I cannot explain to my friends, who aren't SK readers, how great of a writer he is.
Unfortunately, he has been stereotyped with the horror genre and he is SO much more than that.
Legit, one of the greatest authors of all time.
Thanks for posting this!

Picked up Billy Summers on a whim because the cover looked cool at Barnes and Nobles back when it first came out. Knew SK but never read him.. hadnโ€™t read for pleasure in probably a decade and this author got me fully emerged back into reading. Iโ€™ve read over 30 SK novels since then and watched every King video put out on this channel. Quite literally, life changing hahaha. Hell ya Mike keep em coming!

I started reading King last November. I hadn't read a book in a few years before that. I am hooked. I am on my 20th book now. Fairy Tale. I am really enjoying it. So far, my favorite has been The Stand. I really enjoy this channel as well.

This brings back fond high school memories of borrowing Stephen King books from the public library. I am hoping to re-read his older books and then continue his other books. Hope to be starting with Carrie soon. It's been so many years since I last read it!
Thanks for sharing!

First book I read from Stephen King was Thinner. Fell in love, haven't looked back. I was 14 maybe 15 . My son started reading King at 10 years old (he was the reader in school that gets all the awards in school for comprehension, speed, etc). When the Dark Tower movie came out (with Idris Alba) we got a tattoo across our backs (my son's idea) with the first line of my son's favorite series - The Dark Tower. I have the first part with a rose and he has the second part with a rose. "The man in black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed." Iconic. Yeah, we're constant readers alright. Thanks for the video, my favorites of yours are anything with King content, but I enjoy them all!

I'm a new King reader currently on my first journey to the Dark Tower and related books. I'm so glad I started. The Stand has to be one of my top 3 books of all time.

Iโ€™ve read eleven or twelve of Kingโ€™s books so far, they have all been great, and I want to read so many more. I think 11/22/63 might be my fave so far. Youโ€™ve definitely made me want to read Salemโ€™s Lot. That one or Dr. Sleep will be my next by him I think ๐Ÿ˜Š

What an awesome into, Mike!

I didnโ€™t read my first Stephen King book until I found your channel and content in 2021! Now Iโ€™m always happy when itโ€™s time to read a new one! Probably have read around 7-10 so excited to have many more to choose from!

I like your fantasy book reviews, but I'm always here for your King reviews. Your videos for Different Seasons are actually the reason why I became a constant reader.
