Judge delays Trump sentencing in hush money case

The judge in Donald Trump's hush money case delayed sentencing until after the election in a significant victory for the ex-president. The sentencing had been scheduled for Sept. 18. Earlier, Trump appeared before a federal appeals court as it considered whether the testimony of a witness in his sexual abuse and defamation case was proper. NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports.

I will say it now and I have said it before, people don't just come up out of the clear blue sky and bring someone to court over something that is fake or made up. It just doesn't happen like that, especially when you hear of a court case that has got overwhelming evidence against the wrongdoer. It's kind of like somebody that buys an item or something and it doesn't come in the mail, a person wouldn't just make a claim to the seller and say I never got my item. It just doesn't happen that way, as a relative rule people are honest about certain things like this. They don't just make something up like that and complain about it unless it actually did happened to them. So it is the same thing with Donald Trump. People don't just make things up with all of that enthusiasm to take him to court and really go through being raked over the coals If the incident didn't actually happen.

It's a cop out reasoning. I bet his sentencing would depend on whether Trump wins the presidency. However, I may be a good thing because the sentencing would rile up republicans and motivate them to vote in November. Republicans are more tribal than Dems.
