DC had high hopes for "Blue Beetle." So why did it suffer the same fate as "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" and bomb big time? Turns out that timing is everything.

It hurts watching this movie. Most of it was disconnected.

blue beetle was a good and fun movie whether youre latino or not, its just a simple superhero origin for this cool character and not some more multiverse bs, if this movies marketing was better and more people knew about it im sure the numbers would be higher in the box office.

Good movies can be made with a fraction of what Hollymood movies are budgeted today. Studios need to understand that.

The main reason why many big budget blockbuster movies have become box office faulures is that streaming sites can play these theatrical movies just one to three months after first day at the cinemas. Before COVID 19 Pandemic Era, audiences have to wait seven to nine months before cinematic movies are available at streaming sites and home video copies.

Heard about the movie only once, probably a few weeks ago...but that was it. Not enough push for it.

Attack the fans and the fanbase speaks up. Hollywood is collapsing big time.

I was busting out laughing throughout the movie. I am also Mexican American, and the jokes felt insightful. Unlike Spiderman, there's absolutely no way a Mexican hero could hide his hero identity from his family

Still shielding the studios from the real reason why these films are tanking. The DC films have been very inconsistent when it came to quality and having any connection with each other. There were a few standouts here and there, but the overall experience has been very mediocre at best.

Ever since James Gunn announced the DC reboot, it foretold the fans a lot of these movies do not matter. Now whether you love James Gunn's work or not, sure he has had success with Marvel, but he has yet to win over fans of DC with the flop of The Suicide Squad.

Ezra Miller was the main reason why The Flash movie failed. Online discussions to boycott the movie should have told the executives to pull the plug on the project, but they didn't listen.

With Aquaman 2 coming, the amount of hatred of Amber Heard over how she screwed over Johnny Depp is another telling sign that, it too will flop.

James Gunn has yet won fans over with his plan to oversee the DC cinematic universe. Most fans are upset with WB for how they disrespected and treated Henry Cavil.

Disney is still trying to win over the Star Wars and Marvel fans as the support continues to diminish. If you upset a large section of the demographic that normally supports your movies, the general audience is not enough to make these films successful on its own.

For me, it was a fun film and I hope he still pops up in Gunn’s DCU, but this video does a good job of going over what was going against it, and honestly none of this is really a surprise.

After watching this I immediately thought of Spy kids, it had the same tone and pacing. If you want to do a superhero movie of a lesser known hero, you need some heavyweight casting to attract an audience.

Just watched it last night, very entertaining, loved it. It was different, a different and refreshing approach, a lot of comics flicks recently looked the same. One of the best super hero flicks, Xolo great actor and very likable, not sure why it’s not making that much money?

A friend wanted to see it yesterday so a group of us went.

I enjoyed the film. It was fun. It had a good cast. Story was pretty solid for an individual film. And I was glad that 2nd weekend returns were better than the first weekend.

Some of the DC films I felt deserved better than what they got. But one thing Marvel did that DC doesn’t…..yet is their films have a story arc linking them together. DC doesn’t.

So you can skip a film in DC and not miss much. But you skip a Marvel film you can find yourself asking “ What did I miss?”

After seeing BLUE BEETLE, I felt that it had more the feel of a DISNEY streaming series. 1 that could be fitted to the DCU, later. Like WANDA VISION. Not like THE DOOM PATROL, YOUNG JUSTICE, BIRDS OF PREY, KRYPTON, etc. Which probably will never be added to the movies. Save their own autonomous movies. Or vis versa. The Flash, Cyborg, a Lantern(s) (any color(s) could drop-in on the Beetle. If he didn't have his own motion picture, that is.

Well I never heard anyone ask for a Blue Beetle movie …. but let me say I like the character the suit the look all great. But if you look at the forums or anywhere else online people have been asking for a Static Shock movie for 10 plus years !!!! Hell I saw comments when Blue Beetles Trailer came about Static Shocks movie It’s the same with Green Lantern John Stewart ….time and time again WB totally ignores its fan base I mean got damn!!

Blue Beetle was a great film with a great soundtrack. Lesser known character with the timing issues said in the video. Hoping ppl go support it, in the following weeks, cuz it really is good. Best DC has put out, so far.

Blue Beetle really didn’t deserve to bomb! The good thing is, it topped the Barbie Movie at the box office and it received positive reviews and I really loved Blue Beetle. I really hope Xolo Mariduena, Bruna Marquezine, and the rest of the actors as the Reyes Family return in James Gunn’s DCU
