What is 5G UC from T-Mobile? Does it work?

What is this 5G UC icon on the top right of your newer phones? Let's figure this thing out together so we know whats going on.

I have dropped calls, robot voices, spotty connections, slow ass speeds, unable to access apps at times, O have T-mobile and with a 3rd gen se iPhone. Will be going back to AT&T never had phone issues with them.

5GUC is trash……idk what fast connections is using this but my phone doesnt even load when its on 5GUC, at least LTE would let my phone work

I just got 5GUC on my Galaxy S21 Ultra when I updated to Android 12 I've noticed a bit of a difference in speed my phone is actually a lot faster than it was when it was just only 5G

Ever since UC came up on my phone (galaxy s21) ive had a ton of issues. The places where i used to get good signal (work, gym, other buildings), now i struggle to get signal. Any one know of a way to revert back to just plain 5g?

The UC basically let's you know that you are on their fast 5G. If you only see 5G then you are the slower long range 5g. In San Diego I get speeds between 400mb to as high as 700mb depending on where and time of day, but it's super fast

Mine has 5g uc and it sucks, my wife has same phone and service and hers works great 😆

Coming from a metro pcs android to iPhone 12 I can never complain about the speed it’s 100x faster so I see a difference daily

I have a android phone 📱 and yes I see this 5G UC👈🏾 it's comes and goes and then when I gets to my place it turns to only E 👈🏾 and I don't understand why this is happening can you please explain why

I have restarted my phone so many times because of slower speeds I am having more problems watching videos or downloading music

Yeah I wanted to know what that is cause I just got my new phone in the mail yesterday and it's unlocked and like I put my T-Mobile sim card in it and it said 5GUC my previous phone was 4G LTE and it didn't say that

I recently started seeing 5G UC on my T-Mobile phone but I don't think it's any faster, in fact when it went to 5G from 4G I didn't really see any difference - it's still pretty slow. I think T-Mobile is just slow all around.

T mobile is much better than verizon, especially if you have an android device. My 4G on t mobile is faster than 5G on verizon

I bought a new number for my phone and paid for a whole full year... and that was yesterday Saturday and the 5g UC had a speed of 270.57, but today Sunday it is at 0.16.. and that's what I paid for a full year on a budget plan of 40 dollars!.

Yes, UC is on my Android phone aswell, Ultra Capacity is good to Know but Should be left off the screen because two extra letters really serve no purpose and just takes up space on the tool bar!
