I spent (over) 100 days in Terraria *AS A NOOB* to beat the game

How far can I get in 100 days of Terraria? And how long will it take a this noob to BEAT TERRARIA? I ended up playing more than 100 days, since it wasn't too far beyond that I defeated the Moon Lord.
I'm new to this game. Whilst I've played lightly here and there I've never made it to any boss. I'm excited to jump into this game properly for what might as well be the first time! Player & world difficulty are both set to classic.

For your first time playing, you really did an amazing job!! There is so much more to do in the game; trying it out with a different build as a challenge might be really fun! Good job! I'd love to see more Terraria!

I'm on 30 minutes in but wanted to pause to say something. I have over 1000 hours on this game and still found so much joy in watching your playthrough. Please keep it up! I'll be doing my first playthrough of stardew valley and will even returning to watch your game play!

1:32:31 This one especially hurts, because the steampunker is selling the solution needed for getting rid of the corruption....

- The Handgun you got from the Dungeon is better than the Boomstick. It can also be upgraded with Hellstone Bars into the Phoenix Blaster.
- You could've used Tungsten bars to upgrade your Musket Balls into Tungsten Bullets.
- The Weather Pain you got from Deerclops is more of a support weapon, because after you summon its homing tornado you can then switch to whatever other weapon you want and the tornado will attack enemies, only having to occasionally re-summon the tornado when it expires.
- The Sharpening Station is sold by the Merchant in Hardmode. It's the melee equivalent of the Ammo Box, granting all melee weapons +12 armor penetration until you die. You literally could've had that for so much of your playthrough.
- Whether a world is Corruption or Crimson has zero impact on which Hardmode ores you get.
- You could've just removed your old iron anvil and put the orichalcum one in its place.
- You could've crafted the Teapot from bones and clay. It's a crafting station that allows you to craft bottled water into Teacups, which grants the Well Fed buff for 5 minutes, granting +2 defense, +2% critical hit chance, +5% melee speed, +5% damage, +0.5 minion knockback, +20% movement speed, and +5% mining speed. Given how easy bottled water is to obtain, this is essentially free buffs.
- Recall Potions actually work faster than the Magic Mirror, so I recommend keeping both on you.
- Sunflowers, which can be purchased from the Dryad NPC, repel nearby Corruption around them, so if you just spam them around the NPCs' homes, they can live smack dab in the Corruption just fine.
- You could've purchased the Jetpack from the Steampunker, it's better than the Fairy Wings. And Bat Wings crafted from the Broken Bat Wing you got from the Solar Eclipse is even better. After Golem the Steampunker sells the Steampunk wings, which are WAY better.
- Celestial Shell grants +10% melee attack speed, +10% damage (all types), +2% critical strike chance, +1 HP/s life regeneration, +4 defense, +15% mining speed, +0.5 minion knockback, you cannot drown in water, you can swim in water and honey, and you can move at regular speed in water. At nighttime it additionally grants +2% melee critical hit chance, +5.1% melee damage, +5.1% melee speed, +5% movement speed, +3 defense, slightly increased jump height, wing ascension speed, and jump speed, and +0.5 HP/s life regeneration. So yeah, it's extremely good and might be the best accessory in the entire game period.
- Placing 101 torches underground summons an earlygame optional mini-boss.
- The Rainbow Gun is kind of like the Weather Pain in that it's like a support weapon, you just place the rainbow down and it damages enemies that touch it while you use your main weapons.
- Homing weapons do 25% less damage to the Lunatic Cultist.
- Killing Paladins in the Dungeon has a chance to drop the Paladin's Shield, which grants +6 defense and immunity to knockback. This is a direct upgrade over the Obsidian Shield's 2 defense and immunity to knockback. Combining it with the Frozen Turtle Shell accessory, dropped from Frozen Turtles in the Underground Snow Biome in Hardmode, at the Tinkerer's Workshop creates the Frozen Shield. It grants +6 defence, immunity to knockback, and +25% damage reduction when you are below 50% HP.
- The Enchanted Sundial can be obtained from Pearlwood Crates, Mythril Crates, or Titanium Crates. It allows you to fast-forward time until sunrise (4:30 AM) of the next day. Normally this has a cooldown of 168 minutes, but during a Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse it has no cooldown, so it's basically an infinitely reusable
- Prismatic Lacewings only spawn in the first half of nighttime. After midnight (12:00 PM) they won't spawn.
- Lore dump: The Moon Lord is actually Cthulhu. Yes, THE Cthulhu, the one that the Eye of Cthulhu is a body part of. In addition to the Eye of Cthulhu, Skeletron was Cthulhu's bones and the Eater of Worlds was his spine. The Mechanical Bosses, those being the Destroy, Twins, and Skeletron Prime, were created by the Mechanic NPC. She was forced to do so by the Lunatic Cultist, who aimed to use the Mechanical Bosses as prosthetic replacements for the body parts Cthulhu lost, so that Cthluhu could be revived.

Absolutely love your first blind playthrough, was really fun and also infuriating at times, seeing how you managed to accidentally breeze through bosses with 0 prep (relatively speaking)

Would love to see you try a second playthrough on a harder difficulty (bonus weapons and items come as reward for the higher difficulty) as preperation and planning is a pretty big part of the game that you have skipped for the most part.

Just completed a master mode mage playthrough, as an average player, so it is possible. Highly reccomend it!

I was like oh how is she gonna do it in 100 days it is so hard for me as a terraria veteran, only to realize I was so used to play it in legendary or at least master mode that I forgot what the normal Terraria experience is like

I havent fully finished the video yet, but i do want to say you've been doing really well :D. Terraria is pretty overwhelming at first but you did really well (especially with skeletron prime).

Now as to why im commenting before finishing:
THE RAINBOW GUN ISNT SHIT

OK! The reason why most players say its shit is because it used to last 5 seconds which made it rubbish, but they updated it so its 20 seconds which makes it so much viable. Withr spectral armour it is really good and definetly worth while.

Just for future reference if you decide to play as mage again if you do another terraria play through. Other than that this has veen brilliant ans i love to see more terraria if you decide to xontinue!

This playthrough was very fun to watch. If you'd like to play it again but also with a lot of new stuff, I suggest checking out the calamity mod. It adds a lot of new content before AND after moonlord.
