I like these homages so much better than the versions from Tudor. The Tudor one is 15mm thick and this is 13mm. That 2mm makes a huge amount of difference. I had the in-house Tudor BB Heritage 41mm but it was 14.75mm thick. Solid it for the ETA version of the same watch which is 12.7mm thick and it makes that far more wearable and I love it. Given no money limitations (which I don't have thankfully at least in the Tudor price bracket) and given the choice between Tudor GMT and this one, I would take this one. I don't care about brand names I just want the best fit and Tudor at the moment have no idea what they are doing with sizes. Well maybe they do as they the BB58 is a great fit, but they get it wrong so many other times I just can't help but think "Tudor - what the fsck is wrong with you? Why are you like this?!" So disappointing but also not unexpected as Rolex are also going in stupid directions with their sizing.

I like it. How do you think it compares to the Steinhart GMT? I had a Steinhart GMT I just did not like the way it wore.

I just received the same GMT model two days ago in the white/silver dial. I had the Tudor Pepsi GMT for 2 years but sold it due to it being too larger diameter. I bought the new 39mm Pro GMT which fits much better but I love a Pepsi bezel.

The SM is fantastic value for money and whilst it’s not a ‘traveller GMT’ it’s proportions suit me perfectly.

However, the hand alignment and date flip were awful. I have reset them and now they are perfect but I found out why my bezel did not align perfectly; the movement is held in place with a spring washer which is clamped by the caseback. On giving the caseback a final tighten the movement slightly rotates, turning the markers slightly anti-clockwise away from the bezel position. As I won’t be swimming with the watch I have left the caseback hand tight so the bezel aligns with the markers. If I wanted to have the caseback 100% tight then I would have to reset the bezel insert position.

Still, it’s a great watch for the money but QC could be a little better

Tudor can’t release a 39mm Pepsi GMT unless they redesign the MT5652 movement. It’s too large in diameter and thickness. The new BB Pro GMT is 39mm because it has a fixed bezel rather than the rotating Pepsi bezel.

Looks fantastic! I prefer this GMT hand over the original…I especially like how it’s identical to the seconds hand with the exception of the red color…it looks awesome as the seconds hand floats over it! I’m usually not a fan of the snowflake handset, but I REALLY like this presentation! BTW the blue section of the bezel almost looks black in this video…is it a fairly dark blue, rather than royal blue?
