This is on sale for 26 bucks on steam, for standard edition. Thinking of buying just the standard edition. The problem with games is you buy a game, then they want you to paid a ton of money for DLC/Season passes, extras (in short). I miss the days when AT MOST you had an expansion come out for a small price. I miss the days when you just bought the game, and companies supported them, and you got all the content. I haven't bought very many games in a long time because of all the price gouging with extra content. If you want to price gouge, I can just go pirate the games. I don't do care about multiplayer, generally. I also do not make much money, so the fact that many games can cost hundreds, if you want ALL the content, is just crazy. I'd have to work more hours on the farm, than the hours I'd get out of game play in many games. That said, Forza 4 looks great! I've often heard it's the best racing game. Well, now #5 is out, but I'm not paying $80 for a game. I'll wait a year or two until it comes down in price. 9 times out of 10 I buy a game and end up not enjoying it after several hours, and never play it again. That or, I never play it at all.

This is my first time pre-ordering a Forza game. I got Horizon 2 for like ten bucks and thought it wasn't bad. 3 I really thought looked amazing but waited in case it was only on par with part 2. Finally got it during the Christmas sale and was freaking blown away by it!! For part 4 I already have the Ultimate Edition pre-ordered because, like you, I did the math and figured it was the best deal (but thanks for confirming my rough math!) Can't wait to be racing this bad boy! So close yet so far!!

I’m not sure if you know but the formula drift car pack will only come with your pre order choice if you pre order through the Microsoft store

I just hope that now the expansions are included they’re not really basic and small, because with horizon 3 you got them half price with VIP, free seems a bit suspect

Can I still unlock the cars slowly from the Car Pass without buying it? or are the 42 cars exclusive to the Pass?
