Get a brief glance into the life of Franz Schmidt, a 16th-century executioner, through his diary, which reveals insights into his profession. Schmidt, known for his methodical record-keeping, details the fates of those he executed – thieves, murderers, and witches. In his own words, he confesses the burden of justice: 'I execute by law, yet bear each soul on my conscience.' From beheadings to hangings, Schmidt's diary sheds light on the grim sentences carried out. This short captures Schmidt's haunting legacy, one recorded with precision and, perhaps, a touch of sorrow.

Hey morbid history this is my new channel. It’s me Nicholas Nappi the guy who reenacts the executioner and specializes in torture and execution methods and devices throughout history . I unfortunately had to make a new channel because of unkind things said and done on other channels but I am back. I had some trouble finding channel and but glad I did. I am going to be sure to spread the word about your channel at my next reenactment in march i know some people who will enjoy your content as well.
