None of the multiple options worked for me... tried out the various options multiple times yet the login password page never came. Tried power off button several times... Finally pressed the power off button for almost like 30 secs till the laptop shut down. When I finally switched on the laptop, it started working well. Signed in and then restarted. Now following the instructions... trying out a system restore. Thanks for the video and the comments of others which was comforting and thanks to those who shared their ideas and strategies too.

Can we get some help finding out how to get to the typing in the pin point? Cause after pressing F5 it takes us to a list and you never explained what to do after that other then to type in the pin. Its not showing us the pin.

Damn, alt+ctrl+del was what I wanted for so long.

My laptop didn't show the password tab after waking up from sleep. It takes atleast 2-3 mins to show up or it doesn't show up at all. So the basic fix which worked for me was to press alt+ctrl+del button and password tab showed up.

Hello. I have tried using control alt delete and it does not work. I am only allowed to use the command prompt and the X: drive. I continuously run chkdsk which seems to improve it every time. I am able to see the log in screen for a split second if I scroll up on the screen or hit control alt delete, then it disappears again. It looks like chkdsk is replacing the same files or deleting the same corrupt files. There is a message that says something like 'the operation could not be done because of an error message' that has numbers and letters after it. The login screen will not appear long enough for me to log in. I tried to turn off the password feature but don't know what commands would work with X: drive. I thought I could get to the User Account in command prompt but do not know how in X: drive. I thought it could be a graphics drive problem but I cannot do anything in the X: drive (device manager).
