What part of your house do you struggle to keep clean?

I clean houses independently and work by myself. I only clean one house a day and I take pride in my work. I love my customers and I don’t ever cancel

Thanks for the video. I paid $100.00 a visit for 3 hours the first year TWENTY years ago. When I had a weekly cleaning lady, I gave her a raise every year, a Christmas bonus and a paid week off each summer/winter. Show your cleaning person the same consderation you'd appreaciate. It's a physically hard and wearing job.

I have a cleaner who comes every Friday morning for 1.5 hours. I have the house all picked up ready for her to go. She cleans both bathrooms, vacs all floors throughout then mops tiled floors. She dusts surfaces and cleans the skirting boards. It is like a breath of fresh air walking into the house after she’s been.

you should always tidy up your home before asking someone to come clean it, she's there to clean not to pick up after you.

Literally on YouTube for moral support after deciding to hire a house cleaner. Thank you for this, I feel so much better as a working mom of a preschooler. I didn't work since her birth until a couple months ago and I'm sure I/we need the help.

if she cleans house independently you need to make sure you have an employer ID and pay payroll tax. Or, she is an LLC and you pay her business name and check her liability insurance or update your own home owners policy to cover her. $150 for a 3 story townhouse is awful - you would pay twice that to detail your car.

After my divorce, I was a single mother working shift work and lots of overtime (as a warehouse supervisor), so regularly cleaning my house went on the back burner for a while. I happened to mention I needed a housekeeper to one of my employees who owned a cleaning business on the side, and he said, "I've got just the right person for you." When I met Arlene and she was WONDERFUL and a perfect fit. She stayed with me for nearly 20 years cleaning twice a month and doing our laundry. She became family to us.

I was really hesitant the first time I hired someone to clean my place but I'm so glad I did. I'm still only having it done every few months as needed but you've definitely convinced me to get on a regular schedule!

Thank you for sharing this concept. As a cleaner, I do a first-time clean top to bottom 100%, this will be a dbl amount of time if not more. After the initial cleaning, it will give me a good idea of how much time a weekly or bi-weekly time per visit. I explain that I do the weekly-monthly duty, not the daily, and they agree their responsibility is to pic-up for ease of my movements and clear the sink for my useability, so I start right in on the cupboards faces, stove, and fridge faces this rule applies to all rooms. After some time they slack, but I can't, then the trouble starts for me not being able to fulfill my end of the bargain, as a good hr can be eaten up through the course of 4 rooms, digging things out from under beds, couches, etc., picking up pens, coins, and whatnots as to not plug up the vacuum and spend time fixing a valuable tool. I have let go of clients, for this reason, then " I'm " considered the problem.

I’ve been “thinking” about this for months. How timely your video showed up. We hired a friend’s house cleaner. She had medical issues and was always on the phone with her Dr. It would have been a treat except that she did the minimum. I had a toilet paper holder that stood on the floor in the bathroom, that she NEVER cleaned. I kept leaving it hoping she’d notice, lol! It’s hard to open my house up again. I would love to find someone as efficient as your house cleaner. Just keep trying? I just found your channel today. You have a wonderful, pleasant presence. Keep it up. 😊

If i could go back in time, I would have asked for house cleaning money for my birthday, Christmas, and Mother's day. It would have allowed me to hire someone maybe 5 times a year, and that would have been a tremendous help. One thing it does, is it forces you to go around and declutter beforehand.

I am looking to hire someone. I have been injured a few times and was not ambulatory. The cleaning got away from me. I also never had wood floors growing up. Not liking them from a cleaning aspect. My problem is that when I think of calling a cleaner, I feel like I need to clean before they show up. I want the messes gone to not clean around it. I also don't want to gross them out with dirty sinks and whatnot. Lemme clean first. My home is not that bad so I feel like I should do it. I just don't have the house cleaning gene. I also live in a major city. I keep hearing negative things about what could go wrong with hiring the wrong person. It also makes me avoid reaching out to a house cleaner.

I am handicapped and can't really clean my own house. I lost my wonderful housekeeper to covid and I decided to clean my own house, at least til the pandemic was over.I would work all day cleaning just to get one room done & by the time I got the whole house clean it was time to start again. The struggle was constant and yet the house was never completely clean. So as soon as the pandemic was over, I hired a cleaning service. I'm not at all happy with the job they do and I'd love to find one person who does a good job, I can trust not to steal, and who shows up every time scheduled.

Thank you. You are a delight. I have a house full of years worth of accumulated clutter that I do not know where to start de-cluttering. I keep up with the daily work inside and out of the house including taking care of chickens and a garden as well as house work, but have a hard time motivating myself to do the backlog.

$150 for a 3000sq ft is actually a steal. Many will charge more than that, just based on that square footage. You have a good cleaner.❤❤
