Thanks Kyle for your clear explanation of a digital home recording studio! I’m old school, meaning my other home studio in the 90’s was analog. It’s quite a learning curve for me, but with videos like this, by George, I mean, by Kyle, 🤣 I’m sure I can do this!!! More questions will arise I’m certain! Btw, I have Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. I think I’m gonna love it!

Fantastic to hear all these examples. Would any advantage in placement at drummer side and can you flip L&R as if it was giving sound stage from the front mic examples?

Great content! You did a great job Kyle!
I've been thinking about setting up a very basic home studio. I have a 9-5 office job. Outside work I enjoy doing other things, like playing simple chords covering some songs I like - with very very basic singing and keyboard/guitar skills...lol... I just want a setup to be able to record my voice and the instrument nicely. I really appreciate the convenience of recording directly on my laptop/cellphone but it's not the sound quality I'm looking for... I wonder if your setup is a bit too much for someone like me? What's your suggestion, Kyle?

do you have any recommendations for a good starter laptop/desktop? (preferably laptop to save more space 😅 but either one works) i don’t want to spend thousands on something like a T2300, but still want something of nice quality that will last me for now. Thank you for your help and for this video!!

Hey! For the headphones, can I just get one with a normal headphone jack or does it have to be different? Do we hook it up to the interface directly? Or can we monitor by plugging into the computer?

I am very confused. You are talking about a music studio correct? Ie place where one creates music?
You did not mention a single instrument. What am I missing?
Or, are you not talking about CREATING music, but instead modifying audio files that someone else created with instrument?
I have to disagree with the DAW and the interface. If you use hardware simply connect to digital recorder and you are good.
I also think the concept of “music production” is going to be 100% automated soon. Ie. I create a song (with hardware). I serve up the audio file to the a service that will “remaster it” based on how I want it to sound. Done and done.
But I am confused what studio this is (or I just kissed it(. You noted a mic so are you talking about only singing? No instruments l?
