Did you know that your posture can impact how broad your shoulders look?
Certain positions of the ribcage can influence where the shoulders rest.When the ribcage tilts down it pulls the shoulders together. This gives a “narrower” look to the shoulders.When the ribcage tilts up it lets the shoulders move apart. This gives a “broader” look to the shoulders.
Individuals that have difficulty tilting their ribcage up (crunched posture/rounded shoulders) often have that “narrower” look.

In order to tilt the ribcage up muscles on the frontside of the body, like pecs and abs, need to relax.A great way to open up the front of body is by laying over an exercise ball like in this video.

Its true i used to be a bodybuilder with broad shoulders but after doing combat sports i started getting a rounded back and shoulders. Im doing yoga and meditation to relax my chest, back and abs.

You don’t want to do this if your thoracic is straight because you’re already in a extended position. You want more flexion base exercises for straight back syndrome. People can have rounded shoulders and be in a too good of posture with straight back syndrome so I wish people like you would have a solution for this but unfortunately nobody on here really understands it yet

sounds good in theory but it just doesn't work, what actually works is strenghtening the muscles of tge upper back. also it's normal for your back to be rounded and your shoulders to roll forward a bit when you are at rest.

Shoulders back is unnatural. They should be held up in a resting position. Shoulders back can lead to thoracic problems

Sorry bud that posture keeps people alive and keeping shoulders broad and spine straight is what kills people because on cold weathers especially you get higher risk of heart attack with broad shoulders or catching a cold will be much easier because u lose a lot of heat when u open ur shoulders like that and the body will have to work overtime to keep u warm with broad shoulders held like that however the grumpy posture allows the body to save up more energy and keep the vital organs warmer hence why its more comfortable your chest will start hurting when u hold ur shoulders broad and spine straight because they will be depleted of their water reserves and thats why u feel more sore when u move with straight spine and broad shoulders the grumpy posture is a subconscious posture chosen by the body itself to preserve as much energy as possible with minimal effort

Grandma's gymnastic moves just don't help. The deadlift is the best exercise, which also targets the skeletal muscles and straightens the entire posture. But hurry up if you are over 60 years old, it is difficult to correct your posture in any way.
