ARGUS JUST GOT BUFFED AGAIN on the ADVANCED SERVER. But besides the buff, Moonton gave him a bunch of nerfs, some of which were NOT ON THE PATCH NOTES. Watch this video and be the judge whether this will be a good "BUFF" or NOT.

Terminologies:

BS: Battle Spells are extra abilities any hero can equip. Never forget to check if you have the appropriate BS based on your line up and the enemy team's line up. This can only be set up prior the game which is during the draft pick/preparation phase.

CC: Crowd Control is the act of disabling heroes. (Stun, Slow, Silence, Root Etc.)

Objectives: Jungle Objectives such as the Turtle, Lord etc. This also includes Turrets, and of course, the opposing team's base.

Camping: The act of hiding and attempting to Gank a hero multiple times with the intent of preventing its growth.

Freeze/Lane Freezing: Act mostly done on the Side lanes to prevent over exposure. Mostly done during the earlier stages of the game, or when enemies aren't visible in the mini map.

Carry: Can be any hero with the potential of flipping the sides of the coin in battle, or in other words, carrying an entire team to victory!

MM/ADR: Marksmen also known as Attack Damage Ranged, are usually a squishy hero with low to minimal survivability which has the potential to carry the entire team especially in the late game if fed enough. Normally farms dominantly on the lane.(Bottom Lane)

Assassin/ADC: Attack Damage Carries also known as Assassins, are usually squishy but with high mobility, these heroes also has the potential to carry the entire team. Unlike MMs though, most if not all Assassins are melee. Normally uses the Jungle as a farming area as oppose to laning.

Offlaner: Usually are fighters or even tanks with good minion sweeping potential and high sustain and survivability. Though not the norm, some offlaners are known to have the potential to carry an entire team. Dominates the Top Lane.

Tank: High HP pool, high resilience, and survivability are the qualities of a Tank. Normally sacrifices itself for the Core Hero(es).

Support: Extremely versatile heroes which can either have high survivability, or hard CC, usually with skills able to empower a number of heroes with buffs, heals, etc.

If Moonton doesn't want Argus players to constantly split push, they should fully commit to it by making him a crit hero. Argus already lost some his ability to destroy turrets when they changed the way he gains malice energy which is you gain higher energy by using crit build meaning that trinity build isn't as viable anymore, but now he can't even get any energy from hitting turrets.

the way im seeing it, we have to go gold lane now to face marksmen and be able to deal with the weaker early game, sure going xp will let you hit level 4 faster but imagine going against terizla in the laning phase, i doubt he will let you even last hit the minion waves without losing like 75% of your hp doing so

I feel ultimate fallen angel and death immunity should be 4x4 second instead of 5x3

As an argus main i am actually terrified not because of the change but because he has a history of having one of the worse nerfs after revamps

So i hope they dont give him an insane nerf after this one

Man, I think Moonton hates Argus. Man, he is one of the most oppressed heroes. It is rare to find someone playing him, not to mention that the majority of characters in the game are counter him, and now they are literally changing the way he plays, it made him more aggressive in the late game, and they made him very weak in the early game, not to mention that they deleted him. He has an important ability that will make him unable to destroy towers efficiently

i had the same conclusion as you before and tbh what bother me the most is the complete removal of his poking abilities and his weaker early game farming capabilities, i mean yes a stronger late game is good but reaching late game with a team full of feeders is a real hassle. i think moonton want to make him domore head on clashes with this adjustment like thamuz. Another point is that he is more crit dependent now if you want good power spike in the late game, so trinity is useless now. Also idk if you saw but they remove the "purify'' in the description of his ult in adv server so i just wanna make sure that moonton didn't actually remove his purify effect when ulting cause that's what make him do many outplays and baiting, can you verify this for me? and i think fleeting time will be one of argus core item now as he will be more ult dependent. Well the good aspect is that he can survive a cascade of ccs compare to the original server xd

I have tried this in the advanced server, and for me, it's leaning more on being a nerf overall.... First, his PASSIVE does not regenerate over time, and it doesn't regen when attacking a turret, meaning lower capability of split-pushing. Second, most Argus players including me, will have to adjust to not saving your ULTIMATE last second, as it will only be 3 seconds.

I only wish that they added one thing to his passive again to maximize his brutality late game, and save him a bit in the early game since he can't get passive energy or from hitting turrets:

Bring back the OG changing mechanic: Chargin up speed ramps exponentially the lower his hp is.. Around the same speed as currently when at half or 2/3 of the build.

The return of funny 7 attacks a second button

If this is how they managed argus, it is a very big nerf to his dps without ultimate, which most of the time in the early game.

Instead, they should just revert everything and add an hp based bleed effect on his 2nd skill like the old argus did and nerf the base damage of it while keeping the original argus concept.

And besides, this is the strongest argus has been and if they want him to compete with meta, make the hp bleed apply to creeps as well.

the problem with his ultimate is that you can't know when will his ult duration lasts since there would be fatal damaging heroes like marksmen

Those who played the original Argus will have no problems with the new ultimate cool down (it's way longer before if I remember correctly).

It's also true that the laning phase is severely impacted due to the nerfs on warmonger and the absence of passive malice energy regen.

One thing is for sure, you definitely have to activate the ultimate earlier, at half hp or before engaging in a fight.

The movement speed is pretty neat too.

I'm liking this adjustment overall. This makes Argus a more "well-rounded fighter". Maybe this is in preparation for the "Cataclysm" skin that has been floating around for years now.

I just might reinstall MLBB just for this lmao. Great comparison video, captured the pros and cons of this new adjustment.

It's dissappointing that they nerfed his split-push capability because of the passive not working for turrets anymore cuz I really enjoyed just split-pushing the enemy and also the passive not regenerating anymore, but the ult revamp is pretty cool imo just have to use the ult early cuz of the 3s death immunity and that insane spams off the slashes WOW
