it's no fun when the enemy constantly stun you, kicking you around, pushing you around, slowing your movement speed and doesn't melee you in the face when they're long ranged hero

I used argus before when I was still playing, he was my main hero, I always liked to experiment builds, I always picked attack speed with crit and along with malefic just like a marksman's build, and it is one of the main reasons why argus is a monster at late game, especially if he doesn't get stunned or controlled, he is a Melee marksman he could delete almost any opponent standing is his way and on top of that he's got an ultimate that literally prevents him from dying for about 4 seconds.

Burst argus doesn't exist, he can't hur you

Just go Trinity, combined with his passive it become burst.
Then you can add, malefic and bod.
And that's your best build.
Argus doesn't need def.

It's better to use attack speed because that way Argus' passive will fill up quickly from his basic attack.

Just build critical with dhs, corrosion and despair and there u go attck speed + burst Argus

I also go with standard Trinity build for enemy's high hp heroes

I think i preferred full burst on argus, cause if you depend on attack speed, the enemy can easily get away, but if you burst them they will have no time to react

Still recommend Attack Speed Crit, his passive helps a lot melting heroes already so no need for Burst :)

And the speed deals insane amount of damage already 1k damage and extra from crit and dhs

As an Argus enjoyer, I'd say ALWAYS play atk speed. Here's some reasons why:


Atk speed has corrosion scythe. Which basically slows enemies down. Making it easy to catch up to them

Atk speed has faster attack animations. Meaning it would synergize well with corrosion for an easy slow stack

For the same reason, atk speed favors argus's passive of healing when the bar is full. So capitalizing on it with atk speed build is great

Same idea but for ultimate. You'd always get full health after an ultimate due to the fast attacks which favors healing

Full dmg is not as good lately for many heroes as players learn to adapt and build atleast one tank item to nullify most of the potential dmg. One antique cuirass, blade armor, dominance ice, or even just sub items like steel plate or dreadnaught armor would cripple the dmg by a lot.

Because it isn't attack speed, its a crit build with dhs, which also is the superior build.
