How to Get Insurance to Pay for a New roof can be difficult.

When you file a claim, the insurance company will send out an adjuster, probably "independent" to inspect the roof and any interior damages.
Then, based on his assessment, some companies like State Farm, American Integrity, FedNat, and others will send an engineer, which I refer to as "Claim Denial Specialists"

This video will put you in the best position to try to get insurance to pay for a new roof.

Just hired a public adjuster to file my claim for me…..wasn’t going to deal with the insurance guy. Located in Florida and the hurricane took some shingles off. Waiting to see how this adjuster does before I even decide to talk to a roofer and then go from there

How can I find an independent, public claim adjuster (in Sarasota/Venice area) before I contact the insurance company for damage of an existing roof and approval for a new roof ? Is there a checklist that I can ask the public adjuster to use when inspecting the roof ?

Waiting for Sf claim to come back after the adjuster was here last week. I also have interior water damage to ceiling sheet rock, possible attic insulation, some pool screen and also interior paint. Is it better to use a public adjuster that knows the other damage as the roofers want to have nothing to do what that part of the claim if they are not also general contractors???? I know a roofing company that I seem to like and they use the type products I want, but all they do is roofs.

Never did meet a public adjuster that would say their services aren't an absolute necessity for a homeowner.
Have you ever worked for an insurance company?

A 4" opening in the roof its self or a 4" opening in or on the shingle? We help ppl everyday get new roofs and we dont take 30% of the money and then make them go get a roofer either. We are experts in this field who love to help ppl. I used to do insurance and you are just a middle man colleting 30% of the check. I say just call a legit roofing company in your area to come out and do an inspection on your roof. And then let them walk the roof with the adjuster when they come out. Also don't let someone take 30% of the money the insurance pays out because that 30% is going to be coming out of your pocket if you want the roof put on properly.

I spoke with someone with a contractor . He told me new roof cost 10k to 16k . Is that true?

Is court fees separate from the cost of hiring a Public Adjuster? If so, what is a typical range for court fees? In a situation like this, things seem scary when you have the insurance company, public adjuster, roofer, and attorney all wanting to get something from you:
1). Roofers have been known to overcharge by lying about cost/damages which helps to have the insurance adjuster balance that out since they want to see every expense line by line. They know enough to not trust them.
2). Everybody knows that attorneys are going to get their cut for sure.
3). Insurance adjusters are quick to favor their company vs homeowners for obvious reasons. Public adjusters want their money, too but perhaps more favorable to homeowners vs insurance adjusters.

Having a public adjuster, roofer, and an attorney seems like a winning strategy, but one has to ask at what cost..

A public adjuster pretending to be a roofing expert is not illegal, but should be. A roofing company doesn’t dispute anything but damage, assuming the roofing companies whole emphasis is restoration of properties be it residential or commercial. The only thing public adjusters provide is an exalted and inflated price for the repairs, thereby ensuring a claim that should take a week to resolves takes a year. This of course assuming the PA doesn’t bring in his attorney, which in that case takes minimum 4 years. Not to mention there is no more funds to restore the property because the attorney has taken 40% and the PA has taken his 10% plus. Give me a break. Don’t be afraid to bring in a roofing company.
