Believe in your product. Believe in yourself. Sell to the customer's needs, not to your own commission. Educate the customer why they need your product. This is true of all sales.

I’ve been in the industry for a month now and finally accepted the fact that I was overwhelmed. But I can attest to the fact that just getting in front of people is 10x more beneficial than trying to learn every product

This is comforting to hear about not using most of what I learned in the courses while selling. I just got my Life/Health & Disability License and although it wasn't incredibly difficult, it comforts me to know that I will be selling using different terminology!

Proper Training
Accountability
Intentionality
Knowing/Learning Yourself
Creating a routine
Sums it up for me 😌😌
Thanks Cody 💯💯

It's defiantly hard, especially at first!! It didn't start getting easy for me until about 2 years in!

In the middle of my prereq course for P&C. I Have a mentor that is independent but need to work captive to get my funds going in an established agency. Going for life next. I am 48 coming from a tech support/project management background. I am fully charged to help people! The next 10 years are going to be exciting!! Your content is awesome

I am 30 days old as an agent and you described me to a T!. I've sold a few policies but the overwhelming feeling and analysis paralysis and fog head is true. But I know I am not a giver upper. I am with a great company and I am sure over time, it'll get clearer and feel less heavy

Great video…. Question, what Agency Management System would recommend for the independent P&C route?

Thanks for this! I was a team member for a State Farm agent selling 50+ policies per month and I'm 2 weeks in as an independent agency owner and people are reluctant to even get a quote because they don't know me or my agency. I know all the products forward and backward and everything about insurance but that is my #1 biggest hurdle at the moment.

Get strong on the phone is basically all you need to do if you're good at talking to people you will be fine

… 6 minutes and I feel like absolutely nothing was said (I say this as a respectful observer)

I am studying for my license now. A lot of what you are saying sounds like the NCLEX I took for nursing. The real life stuff mattered more than the book stuff! Thank you for this!

Im a licensed insurance agent but in auto and property only. A LOT of life insurance agencies have been begging me for interviews and telling me how much money id be making but i know its full commission and i am so super afraid to make that jump. My personality isn't very overbearing and im not a pusher. If someone says no, i ask why once and then dont push anymore. I want to do this, but i don't know of i SHOULD. because i don't wanna go broke 😂

Very very little of what I studied for is my real life day to day. I only sale final expense for one carrier. I meet with 90% seniors. My company finances leads and they are really decent leads. I’ve been on the field 3 days for about 20 hours total and was driving ten of those hours and I have already sold 3 clients.

I just saw this video after working in sales for a few years. I come from a background of door-to-door and business development. Constantly networking with the local Chamber of Commerce and one on one with small business. Coming from that side of the business pie. What recommendations and or challenges can I expect coming into this?
