I love Hank but he’s clearly in the wrong here. You don’t come to another man’s house and tell him how he should cook his food.

It's funny cuz hank called it one of the best burgers he ever ate

Remember, Hank actually really enjoyed Khan's cooking and it's a running joke throughout the series that everyone even Hank and Buck Strickland's to a subconscious degree know Propaine is the worst way to grill

I never noticed Khan is an anagram of Hank

Hank would never survive in the wilderness. He'd starve to death looking for propane in the wild to cook his food.

Hank: "You brought charcoal into our house?"
Peggy: "I didn't know what it was? Luanne asked me to hold it for her. I thought it was drugs!"

Hank was the best commercial the propane industry could’ve ever asked for.

For anyone who has ever grilled before, Mesquite is clearly the number one choice when grilling meat with a piece of Hickory for added flavor.

How ironic the Laotian immigrant is championing the more Texan way to grill

Not that anyone cares, but 7.5 gallons of propane weighs 31.5 pounds. No way that would fit in the 20 pound tank Hank is carrying.

To be honest, smoke does add more flavor. One time, during a camping trip, we BBQ'd homemade pizzas. Best homemade pizza I ever had.

I just love how offended Hank got right off the bat after Khan said he used mesquite, I like Hank but he was clearly in the wrong here.

Strickland Propene does not have a vending machine. It smells and I thank god every day I get home that I didn't get esploded.

You guys don't cook your meat by holding it over a cigarette lighter?

As an Adopted Texan that has lived here for almost 10 years, I've never met anyone that uses propane and takes pride in it. Haha. Everyone here is all about that wood burning grills and smokers.
Idk if KotH ever did a brisket episode, but I can tell you Hank would never make it in that world. 🤣😂

Even though they disagree on everything, Hank and Kahn are best friends but they'll never admit that. "Kahn" is even an anagram of "Hank"

I think the propane loyalty is an interesting way that the writers have figured out to communicate an unreal amount of character about Hank. Propane itself has objectively no bearing on Hank's other personality traits, but his stubborn and maybe pointless loyalty to something so trivial says a ton. It's like a shorthand for all of his other beliefs, which he always feels strongly defensive of and feels like only idiots could disagree, but always falters when the plot forces Hank to question why he believes a certain way or if it's at least possible to be a good and intelligent person while disagreeing.
