A very short version of that song, but brilliantly played and sung. Wish it were longer.

I was always proud of being a 1st Marine Division Marine most of my career. Every Friday, Waltzing Matilda is played with the Marine Corps hymn and National Anthem. If you're an Aussie and you find yourself on Camp Pendleton main-side by the 1st Mar Div headquarters area, you'll hear this and see Marines render their respect by locking their body and saluting the NA.

US Marines will always have a home in Australia. Your young men fought besides ours, they bleed beside ours and died beside ours especially around Guadalcanal . From this Australian, I can never thank them enough.

As an Aussie who lives in Melbourne, it is amazing the connection that lives on with Camp Pell and the 1st marine Division and it's connection to Melbourne Australia from the time in Royal Park.... PS: I do love "Waltzing Matilda"... it brought me to tears..

Many Australians today do not know about what happened years ago, but I do. Thank you, United States of America for what you did, especially in the Pacific. No one else cared.

She actually has a really really good voice. Reminds my of the women who were the best singers of WW II.

I marched out to this as a navy recruit. It was my daughters second birthday and a long 3 months away from her finished with this

It took her a moment to let me hold her again but when she realised dad was back she wouldn’t let go

Waltzing Matilda is my song. Semper Fi to my fellow past and present Old Breed brothers.

As a member as a band who plays this song in Australia, this performance is flawless with the exception of tempo. it is 116bpm not 130bpm.

I'm in my 80s, and this country (Australia) owes an enormous debt to 1st US Marines. On Guadalcanal, they stopped the previously unstoppable Japanese from almost certainly invading us in 1942, despite what modern rewriters of history try to tell people.. My father in law was in the Australian Army & won The Military Cross, fighting alongside Marines in The Solomons. He said they were incredibly courageous in the face of a ferociously fanatical enemy. Semper Fidelis. Thank you!!!

This is such a great patriotic song and is so remarkably close to the spirit of our western cowboy songs.

It just goes to show how similar our two nations are.

The insignia is the southern cross, which the 1st Marine Division adopted when stationed in Melbourne during WW2, it’s also the state flag of Victoria
