FAQs??

-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?

This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.

-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?

Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

-How much yarn do I need?

Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

-What equipment do you use?

-What do you do for a living?

I am a beginner, and have watched 10 videos on the moss stitch. This is the only one that 'clicked' for me. I've just completed a simple dishcloth thanks to you!

I learned to crochet 6 weeks ago and I LOVE your tutorials. You’ve helped me through lockdown more than I can tell you. Being disabled, this is a new hobby that I’ll keep up. Thank you so much xx

This video is the only one I’ve watched where I grasped the turning chain at the end of the row and where it goes, why it’s there in the first place

I used this stitch to make dish cloths. I love the way they came out, very tight weave.

I’ve made a couple of blankets in this st. It’s great with 3 different colours, dropping each at the end of a row and picking up the next, carry them up the side when not in use. Try with James Brett chunky, as it changes colour gradually so you get a lovely interplay of slowing changing colours. Any slowly changing colours are fun.

Love this video! You are super clear in showing exactly which stitch to work at beginning and end of rows, which is always a big challenge for beginners. Thank you!

Don't know why I waited so long to try the Moss stitch. I love the simplicity of the stitch and it provides it's own border. A lot of thought goes into what stitch I use from color of yarn I'm using, who I'm making it for, how big it will be. Love it and it works up pretty quick. I'm using royal blue and yellow for a blanket going to a college freshman. Will be using this stitch again.

This is an awesome tutorial! I'm making a top out of cotton to cover my arms while I'm in Utah (I burn way too easily, even with sunscreen) and this stitch is perfect for it!
