🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:

*How much yarn will I need?* This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!

*How many squares do I need for a blanket?* That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀

*How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's?* Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.

Thank you for not assuming we just need one row of a tutorial. This is truly the way I wish all tutorial videos were!

As a beginner I found this easy to follow. I’ve made a small blanket using this stitch. My first ever project. Thank you for giving me the confidence.

One of the best and clearest crochet videos ever. Your explanations are clear, simple, and not rushed, with lots of repeats — something most of us need, especially at row-ends. Your colour changes are high-contrast, so easy to follow, and your background colour lets the work stand out. Bravo.

I have been crocheting for 50 years and this is the clearest explanation of "how-to" work a pattern. Thank you.

I've been self teaching crochet for years and the moss stitch is probably my favorite visually. There's no gaps and it's a visually flowing pattern (your eye won't get stuck on any one visual aspect of it) and it's very uniform in density

As someone almost completely new to crocheting, I watched this tutorial one before buying a crochet hook today and my second rewatch I tried following along with black yarn and it was a disaster 😂 but now on my 4th rewatch I tried in a light gray yarn and I’m really proud of the result 🤩🤩🤩 so to everyone else who might struggle, try with a light colored yarn 🤩 it’s way easier to see what you’re doing 🙈 thank you so much for this tutorial 🤩🤩🤩

As a visual learner, once my Nanny was gone, books couldn't help. It's like learning a new language! Your video taught me in minutes what I've always wanted to create! Thank you ❤

The blue background makes it easy to follow your stitching and color changes. I've only been Crocheting for a year but I truly, truly love it. I've been commissioned to do my 2nd baby blanket and I'm definitely using the Moss stitch. Thank for posting and inspiring 🥰

Robin, you have the best crochet channel. I have learned the waffle stitch, moss stitch, trinity stitch and many more from your videos. You break everything down and don't rush through your tutorials like others do. You are the only channel I go to, to learn new crochet stitches.

I’m a lefty, and even your videos are easier to understand than actual left handed crochet videos. Thank you 🙏🏻

I'm so so happy that you mentioned and explained how to change colors. I found your vid while looking for stitch ideas for a temperature blanket, so I'm gonna be changing colors a lot. I can't wait to start!

I love this too, Robin. It is truly beautiful in any yarn and color or many colors. Thank you so much for this tutorial, I’m always confused on how to start and end a row. You’re the best 🥰

I've been crocheting off and on for decades but only recently found the joys of this stitch. It goes quickly, is easy, and makes a nice fabric for just about anything, including blanket borders.

I love your tutorials and how you explain as you go, and I also love that you pretty much jump right into your tutorials and if you don’t you tell us when we can

I use the moss stitch for my "scrapghans" because it's easy to change colors, and it works like a dream! I've been crocheting for over 50 years, but I learn something new almost every time I watch your video. Thanks! Love from Alabama, USA❤

Love the simplicity of this stitch for designing so many different looks for the blanket. I’ve used it to make a herringbone effect, a weave effect, all by choosing different coloured yarns to create the “fabric” look you want. Great tutorial here in this video, the get creative with colour when you are confident with your crochet skills!
