Sight Fishing Jumbo Perch around Brushpiles

Have you ever had the chance to fish Jumbo perch? How about sight fish them in open water around brush? We stumbled across these gems one day by accident fishing for a totally different species. We catch numerous Jumbo perch sight fishing on ultra light gear around these rock and brush piles. In the video I guess at the sizes quite a few times but it turned out the 4 largest perch we kept hit the 13 inch mark! This was one of the most fun days on the water i've had in years. I watch these youtubers fish with all this high dollar tackle and magic bait boxes that come once a month, and act like fools when they catch a 12 inch bass. That's all they catch is one bass, because none of them can set a hook for one; I can name a few. This dude can actually fish, slaying perch with a piece of night bug, a split shot and a hook. that's how I learned and that's how its done,  awesome vid.

I live in New York Rochester and the Genace River is loaded with great game and so called trash fish it's loaded with an evasive species also the Gobe . Anyway about 10 years ago me and my dad went fishing for the last time . We caught a 5lb largemouth on a Gobe off Seabreeze and what a day . Big Like on your show

Here in northern sweden i have no problem catching 15 inch perch and several over 1, 5 - 2 kg.

That would have been a perfect opportunity to use slip bobbers for presentation. Didn’t look like you had any problem catching them but slip bobbers would have been better potentially

Those are a nice perch but it's not jumbo perch . In Northern Canada jumbo is over 13 inches the biggest I cought is 15 inches looking for a bigger one lol .

Next time you go up by devil's lake north Dakota search stump lake and you will be able to catch 16 inch perch
