I’ve done a small experiment with Facebook ads before but it didn’t really do anything!

You definitely don't have to create a product page for every book to run ads. I've ran dozens of ads for over a dozen books and have zero product pages. Is it that you are trying to run ads from a personal profile instead of a business page?

I try to promote my book on amazon by giving the link to the website, but the ad gets rejected. Looks like facebook does not want to promote anything on amazon. Face book ads are cheaper. If i try to directly sell on amazon, it is very costly. I think finally, none of these guys want to help the small guys!
