Nah. I think his room is a little dim but comfortable. Maybe a bit playful. Very little reflective surfaces. So he can focus on his true self and take a break from his shape shifting.

I think his room is simple and reflects his true self. He doesn't always get to be himself since he is expected to be other people due to his power.

I wish we knew the inside of everyone's room. We only know the inside of Antonio's, Brunos, and Isabella's.
If I were to just imagine their rooms based on their powers, it would be
Dolores: having soundproof walls due to her sensitive hearing
Camilo: mirrors around his room due to his shape-shifting
Luisa: Exercise equipment due to her strength
Pepa: Umbrellas, coats..any weather item due to her power in controlling the weather 😂
Julieta: medical equipment around due to her power in healing people

Out of context but people often don't see why there is a great possibility for Camilo to have psychological problems. It can be concluded in one sentence: "People treasure him for being not himself"

I like the shifting depending on his mood idea like the idea with the stage and seating when he wants to put on a show for the family, the mirrors to check if he’s got details right on who he shape shifted into and of course a normal bed room for when he wants to go to bed. I would also like to add the idea that the normal bed room bit was originally inspired by the nursery because when he originally got his room he had spent his whole life in the nursery so he inspired his new bedroom off it for familiarly. But as he got older he made a few more changes to it to go with his interests.

I’d imagine his room would shape shift with him. Either reflecting the people he transforms into or his emotions like It’ll be gothic when sad and really bright and colourful when happy 😛

There needs to be an Encanto 2 where the Madrigal Family struggles with Identity as they try to separate their sense of worth from their Gifts and how they apply said Gifts.

Camilo could definitely be one of the main focuses, as he changes what he looks like to please others and likely changes his behavior to mimic who he looks like too. I read one Fic where Camilo was given the task of shapeshifting into the mothers of certain babies and toddlers to keep them calm while their mothers caught up on their sleep. The idea is just so compelling. And it would be great too, because Camilo was the Madrigal grandchild who was touched upon least in Encanto. Bruno could be so good for his development too, as he’s into acting and that’s kinda Camilo’s thing.

Maybe have Isabela feature prominently too, still trying to figure out who she is when she’s not trying to please others.

Heck, maybe we could even get more on Agustin and Felix, because they were kinda brushed aside in the original film. We could see how their identities changed when they married into the Madrigal Family (with them changing their surnames and taking on the color palettes of their wives and even bowing down to Abuela’s judgment).

I just wanna see more of these characters tbh.

Can we talk about how Camilo is actually terrifying? The dude in convincingly turning to anybody, and we see in the movie that he’s willing to use it dishonestly, and is a bit morbid. A teenage boy who can convincingly imitate anyone…that’s a recipe for horror

If they ever make a series on Encanto I hope they have episodes dedicated to the family members rooms and the pros and cons of their abilities. Also I'd love it if Mirabel could get her own room in the process or if the rooms could start shifting to match the children's changes

The final idea is very cool because then he could turn in Antonio and get a jungle room or turn in a millionaire and get their room. However i also like the idea of Camillo's room just being an ordinary room so he can relax and seperate himself from his powers. Imagine a short where all the kids in town are desperate to know what his room is like and are all spinning wild theories and then it's revealed it's literally just a room 😂

I imagined a room that kept him grounded; something that let him remind himself who he was at his center, not just who he shifted into. Photos of himself as a child, before he gained his gift. Maybe his favorite hobbies are at heart, whether it be the arts, rock collecting, or simply relaxing. Most importantly, a reflecting pool with a family tree at the center, it's branches weaving across the ceiling to remind him that their family is their support and their fortress.
