Andy Anderson: a Short Skate Film

“Balance - the flow of water, and the consistency of concrete. The ground, and the spaces in between. The simplicity of instability, and the complexities of flat ground. Riding the board, face down, face up, and face out. The purposeful objects of the city, plus the joy of play. The corners, sharp and round. Forwards, backwards, and spinning, all coming together.” - Andy Anderson

3:52 when you play Tony Hawk Pro Skater and smash all the buttons while you grind.

I’m in my 50s and still skate.. It still blows my mind with every generation of skaters there are one or two who reinvent and still make it fresh.
This kid is one of the best.

This video helps me cry. Andy's mastery is art. He's so bright I can barely watch him without beaming. The video and sound directing were also masterful and helped to capture Andy's movements in a timeless and graceful way. Andy Anderson is my favorite skater not for his accomplishments or exploits, but because he encompasses everything that's beautiful about skateboarding to me.

He takes tricks people haven’t done in 30 years and mixes them with shit no ones done before

Random skater: "So what kind of skater are you? Vert, freestyle or street?"
Andy: "What do you mean? I'm just a skateboarder."

<3 So much respect for this guy.

20 year veteran of the skate scene here, never have i ever seen such a beautiful melding of videography and the love of skateboarding. This is hands down the best piece of skateboarding content to ever be made. Andy is a beautiful soul and i hope he blesses us with more masterpieces for decades to come.

God: How much balance do you want?
Andy: yes

I know nobody will see this but today I just landed my first kick flip. Andy is a huge inspiration for me and even the reason I too wear a helmet when I skate. Thanks man!

Holy shit! The . . . Primo (manual?) down the hill was so sick. Impossible out of a grind? Holy shit! The one wheel stuff . . . The Mullen-esque stuff that I never seen before. Man. . . The S rail. Got a new favorite skater. Beyond badass, dude.

Refreshing to not have my brain automatically name every trick I see, and be able to just watch the movements he makes.

It's weird seeing the people walk by during the street scenes and glance at Andy and just turn away and continue walking, not realizing that they're witnessing one of the greatest skateboarders of all time in the making.

I’m 31 and have not skated in 10 years.
I just fell completely back in love with skateboarding. Thank you.

His balance is just phenomenal, completely out of this world!

He’s like a combination of Rodney Mullen and Richie Jackson, and can skate big rails if he wants... great to see Andy getting the attention he deserves

The fact that this guy absolutely shreds and wears a helmet is such a incredible influence to the youth to protect their heads. Helmets are taboo in the skate world and this guy is breaking that barrier. He's making it cool to gear up and helping people not get major head injuries by condoning this. Mad respect!

How can anyone dislike this? I first saw Andy on Braille Skateboarding's channel and everything he does on a skateboard is amazing. The footage here was excellently shot and edited. It showcases Andy's talent brilliantly.

Honesty one of the coolest skate videos I’ve ever watched with Andy’s style and the filming was top notch so bad ass

Easily one of the most original and creative skaters I've seen in 30 years.
