Why SCP-049 is AFRAID of SCP-682

During a cross-test conducted by the SCP Foundation, SCP-049 The Plague Doctor is faced with the task of trying to kill SCP-682 The Hard to Destroy Reptile. Watch as true fear surfaces in SCP 049 as he attempts his assignment.

SCP-049 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Plague Doctor.

SCP 049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. While SCP049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049's body over time, and are now nearly indistinguishable from whatever form is beneath them.

SCP-049 will become hostile with individuals it sees as being affected by the Pestilence, often having to be restrained should it encounter such.
SCP-049-2 instances are reanimated corpses that have been operated on by SCP-049.

SCP 682 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Hard to Destroy Reptile.

SCP-682 is a large, vaguely reptile-like creature of unknown origin. It appears to be extremely intelligent, and was observed to engage in complex communication with SCP 079 during their limited time of exposure. SCP682 appears to have a hatred of all life, which has been expressed in several interviews during containment.

I've always had the feeling that the pestilence is not a physical disease, but a tendency towards violence and aggression. Makes sense that 682 would be severely infected. Maybe even patient zero.

"SCP-682 had somehow freed one of its arms". From the anomaly who is so adaptable it can literally came back from the dead and steal other beings' and objects' power, being able to untie himself was to be expected

Incredible, the dimension hopper visited the native world of SCP-682, this means that the hard to destroy reptile is an ancient monster from a paralel world that got transported somehow on this one.

This sounds oddly similar to the setup for a “walk into a bar” joke.

A theory: If the Plague Doctor could touch the afflicted by pestlence heart of the hard to destroy reptile it might cure it somehow with his wraith touch. Basically to do this the reptile must be reduced to a bits of flesh before slowly regenerating and the heart to be intact somewhere in order to be touched properly without any stress or redundancies.

Now I started to think that "The Pestilence" is "hatred" since SCP-035 can feel the hatred in SCP-682.
About the relation between SCP-049 and SCP-035, SCP-049 is calling SCP-035 "Villain". These 2 SCPs probably have a association from past and have the feeling "The Pestilence" at SCP-682.
I think you need to interrogate SCP-049 about the relation between him and SCP-035.

The reason for the hard to destroy reptile s name. Is that his body is hard to destroy. But killing it is seemingly impossible

Of course Dr. Clef just wants to keep blowing it up. Also, under what circumstances would tell them anything?

What if they just put 682 in a time machine and send him 1 Trillion years into the future. It would no longer be the problem of the currently living humans and if humanity and the foundation would still exist after such a long time, then they would have 1 trillion years to prepare. And thanks to Dr. Bright they would never forget about its existence.

That's what the "pestilence" is. It's hostility towards other beings. The Plague Doctor wants to rid the world of hostility.

Idea to kill Scp 682: Use the reality stone from the MCU universe and make it so that it never had the adaptation ability. And it cannot adapt to that bc he will already have lost the ability to do so.( im not sure if it will work tho)
