SCP-049 VS SCP-173

SCP 049 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Plague Doctor.
SCP 173 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Sculpture.

SCP-049 is a humanoid entity which bears the appearance of a plague doctor. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049's body over time. SCP 049 will become hostile with individuals it sees as being affected by the Pestilence, often having to be restrained should it encounter such. If left unchecked, SCP049 will generally attempt to kill any such individual.

SCP-173 is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP173 is animate and extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation.

I love that Scp 049 is one of the few dangerous SCP, that is still human. He can get injured, or die through normal causes and has to interact with other people like a normal person and make compromizes to get to his goals, because of it. SCPs like the shy guy, Able, or the reptile may be cool, because of their immortality, but in a world were everything is unkillable, it doesn't even feel special anymore. However, if there is a creature, that is fighting for its life, because there is a real threat of dying, it makes the whole thing more relatable and real to me.

This video is a good demonstration of what makes scp 049 my favourite.
He's a man of science, dedicated to research, doesn't tolerate disrespect, loves the medical field, intelligent, multilingual, patient, only does what he thinks is right, and would be a great guy to become friends with due to his ability for intellectual conversation about even the most morbid topics.

Man, the moment the Plague Doctor opened his eyes, I legit let out a sigh of relief, and then again a second time when The Foundation busted in and essentially rescued absolutely love these original SCP stories.

I am so confused about Plague doctor overall stats, sometimes he tanks bullets as if its nothing, speedblitz the best trained agents as if it was nothing, othertimes he can't resist a few tasers and can't break reinforced glass... its just weird

Fun fact; to keep 173 from moving without risking blinking, you probably could just look with one eye while keeping the other shut, then switch when that one dries out. You'll always have the SCP in sight so it won't kill you.
