Anakin/Vader Senses Ahsoka & Luke - Scene Comparison.

It's An Older Code Sir....But It Checks Out.

So I thought I'd do a quick visual comparison of a callback used in The Clone Wars Season 7.

I've trimmed & extended some clips to keep both scenes in sync.

Both these scenes were near the end of Anakin being Anakin and Vader being Vader.

The interesting thing about this scene is reading the comments about it online. You can really see the divide between the old guard who saw the OT first, and the new kids whose introduction to SW came via TCW and Rebels. The former group naturally identify the scene with the Tyderium flypast scene from RoTJ, in which Luke and Vader sense each other. Whereas, the latter group identify it with the scene in Rebels where Vader and Ahsoka sense each other ship-to-ship. I mean, objectively the ROTJ scene is definitely the one it's modeled on, but I guess some newer fans are less mentally familiar with it.

I think this parallel symbolizes that besides Luke, Ahsoka was the only person who could redeam Anakin.
