Did you know why Ferraris are Red? When Ferrari came into racing they were required to pick a color for their cars. The International Automobile Federation covered all Italian race cars. Ferrari chose Rosso Corsa, translated to "Racing Red" which was appropriate for the car. This color stood out among the field and made them a distinct and popular brand. Over time Ferrari became more bespoke and customers started requesting other colors. By 1990 only 85% of all Ferraris were red. Today only 45% bear the traditional color.

The "traditional colour" is yellow chosen by Enzo as the colour representing Modena in Italy. That's why the emblem is yellow.
The assigned colour purely for racing identification was red which is to represent ITALY and not uniquely Ferrari.
