Based off the reliability of the current Camry hybrid, I’d see no issue buying a 25. I worried about having the cvt transmission until I actually researched it. Their ecvt will outlast any conventional automatic. No bands or chains in it. Has a planetary gear style system. Simply amazing.

Work for the Toyota plant in KY. New Camry is even sharper in person. Also, I don’t know any inside stuff, but just my professional opinion, we’ll go all hybrid before all electric.

Toyota should’ve kept the regular 4 cylinder option without the hybrid.

How can anyone not love Camry? My parents had one when I was born in 87. Still driving a new Camry today. Best cars for the money you can get.

It's funny, Toyota has been building and selling hybrids for over 25 years but there are still people who call them unproven and unreliable 😂
Those same people have cable TV and dial up internet.

Toyota will be the first successful automaker to launch solid state batteries but they have a diversified approach in the auto industry. They cover all their bases and in time companies like Tesla will be blown out of the water. Watch and learn folks.

I would like to see a return of small, gas fired but very fuel efficient vehicles like the Tercel/echo/yaris or Honda fit. There is a huge opportunity for smaller pickups too

Still think Toyota should keep the four cylinder without the hybrid option available

Since the Camry is hybrid-only now, the starting price will be a lot more expensive… I don’t care about the V6 because I’m too stingy about gas mileage but I’d like to still have the gas-only 4 cylinder option. I’m not saying hybrids are bad, because they’re just as reliable as the regular gas version, but I can totally see sales going down dramatically

NOPE, big mistake of getting rid of the V6! I told Toyota to keep the V6, but just improve it. I also told them to make a faster version of the Camry and Avalon (supercharged or twin turbo). They did listen to my advice, but did not make a big improvement. 300 hp or TQ is not enough, especially with the TRD version.

Scotty, Ask any good locksmith about WD-40. They will tell you not to use it on lock assemblies because it's made from petroleum distillate and/or silicone which will attract dust and will wear out the lock quicker and/or gum up the mechanism. It's better to use graphite powder to lubricate a lock when putting a lock together and to free up an assembled lock use Tri-Flow or another brand of T.P.F.E.(commonly referred to as brand-name Teflon) spray without petroleum distillates.

8:20 sometimes it is enough to slightly turn your steering wheel, like 1 degree, and the key will pop in. Happened to me a few times.

I read this last week and made the decision that I will replace my wife's 2015 Camry with a 2024. I will start driving her 2015 and hopefully it will be the last car that I ever have to buy, because I really don't want to have to buy a hybrid or an all out electric.

They're not getting rid of the V-6's by choice, and it's no just the fuel economy. It's the emission standards they have to comply with. At least Toyota is focusing on hybrid and not all electric!

Toyota's V6 is underrated! My stock XLE Camry has out performed a lot of so-called faster cars. I think Toyota is one of a couple of Automakers that keep their performance stats low. Most Automakers claim (lie) higher performance stats.

With the engine running a generator that charges a battery that powers electric motors at the wheels I think that they will be more efficient because the gas motor can be of smaller displacement and all it is going to do is sit there and idle to run that generator just topping off the batteries whether starting off from a red light or going up hills or through snow etc. That is where the efficiency comes in and it will run for hours on a tank of gas when it is idling. Plus there will be regenerative braking to help the batteries as well. So I think you might be wrong about this type of set up Scotty!

A female I know who’d recovered from brain tumor surgery purchased a Tesla, but had to return it because the high EMFs were causing her excruciating migraines.

I used to work at honda in the 80s, and we used to use heli-coils or keenserts. It was less expensive to do it that way.

Camry is off my buy list. I don't want a hybrid.
