When God says no He means no,
charge the altar if you dare
You may abhor His answer,
all who cross that line beware
For we’ve made prayer a tool,
where we think to change God’s mind
And we think to make God make see,
what He has determined to make blind
For we are puny men,
thinking to change Almighty God’s thought
For we think ourselves the spider,
and God the fly in the web we’ve caught
When God says no He means no,
for God never with Himself takes a guess
For far better in the long run,
