Unanswered Questions in The Walking Dead

Now that The Walking Dead is officially over and we got a pretty satisfactory conclusion for the most part, I couldn’t help but think about all the questions we’re still left with. There’s quite a few things even from just season 11 that weren’t answered, but across multiple different seasons that we just never got any on-screen answers to.

It is absolutely shocking to me that out of everybody, Father Gabriel received the most complete and satisfying character arc out of everybody

Gabriel opening the gate to save the people instead of locking them out in the church was the best arch of the show

The show's ending felt less like a conclusion and more like a add for the spinoff shows.

I like that there are characters that "disappear" or are "forgotten". This brings a bit of realism to the show. We don't know how everyone we ever met in our life time turns out. You ride public transport to work, see the same people day after day, but you don't know their story, you probably don't even know their name.

Carol hands down had the best ark of the entire series. She went from a defenseless DV victim to one of if not the most capable characters in the entire show. Having to kill one of her daughters was crazy and a huge defining moment for her. She was my favorite for a most of the middle of the series when she was cutthroat. But later on they started to regress her character a little and it kind of bothered me. But overall she was incredible.

The kid playing Judith is an amazing actor at her young age - we'll definitely hear from her again

I don’t know about anyone else but I genuinely want to know when the Feral people from season 11 inevitably turn into walkers would their brains rewire and make them walk like a normal walker? Or would they crawl on all 4’s?

I honestly thought when seeing Georgie that she was part of the commonwealth before the commonwealth was introduced. I also thought that the commonwealth were the group that had taken Rick, obviously before we found out that they were the CRM.

Annie was definitely mentioned in the finale. Maggie said to Negan that they are welcome to stay

My guess is Virgil died from his wounds from the deranged ppl after the storm passed and they never acknowledged it or he just up and left but they could have at least acknowledged it

I have a theory that maybe Terminus and the Commonwealth and/ or the CRM have some kind of connection/ agreement. We see two train cars at Terminus labelled A and B and it’s stated multiple times that all tracks lead back to Terminus, which we can assume is some kind of depot. If the Commonwealth have a working train is it possible that they speed up the delivery of As and/ or Bs using existing rail freight infrastructure?

It’s stated that As are considered leaders but also threats and Lance says that the commonwealth have many important partnerships. In exchange for being left independently, the Commonwealth and Terminus supply the CRM.

The Walking Dead is not really "over" they are just doing the 12th season split into spin offs, because of streaming rights. Netflix owns the rights to each season, now they would have to renew contracts if they want to stream the 3 spin off series. It's brilliant, really. Also it renews interest in TWD, bringing back some viewers who long tuned out. So all of these characters and their resolutions will still happen, since again, the show itself isn't over

They really shoulda killed off Virgil when he kidnapped Michonne like it doesn’t make sense that he was kept alive

Wonder if the Atlanta Hospital community made it through to the end. Dawn belived that someone would come to Save them and she wasn't completly wrong since communities like the commonwealth could do that.

the Georgie storyline still keeps up awake at night 😭 i was waiting for seasons to see when and how she would deliver on her promise and "show up again." in a way, i thought that she was going to end up being the leader of the Commonweath/play the Pamala character, but that wasn't the case. at any rate, i need closure lol

B is an asset, based on Jadis interactions with Gabriel I would say highly capable asset that demonstrate a willingness to do whatever is necessary regardless of their feelings. I think Negan would have been a B but she lied and said he was an A because of what happened with Simon and she wanted him to suffer.

Funny, when Negan showed up in the series, I just wanted him dead. And was shocked when he was still around all season long. I just thought "That guy needs to be dead"! Than I felt it was ridiculous when he was still around the following seasons. But later I love how he changed. Love the scene where he was in that house with a bottle of whiskey at the fireplace and was arguing wing his old self until he threw the glass at him.
