The first full-color images captured by the brand-new Euclid Space Telescope have been made public, and they did not disappoint. Never before has a telescope been able to create such razor-sharp astronomical images across such a large patch of the sky and look so far into the distant Universe. These inaugural images showcase Euclid's extraordinary capability to create the most comprehensive 3D map of the universe yet. But what’s so special about the Euclid Space Telescope? How is it different from the $10 billion James Webb Space Telescope? And what’s so special about these five images captured by Euclid from the edge of darkness? Let’s have a look at them one by one in this video.

Im always blown away by the density of all the stars. It's mind boggling and i love it. No way life is not out there

Perseus looks so different "close up". I feel so lucky to be able to see some our incredible universe so clearly and beautifully!!!

Am I the only one that had no clue the Euclid even existed? This is the very first time I'm hearing of this, so I must've missed something. However, this is a very informative video, thumbs up 👍

If you could travel at warp speed you would see the universe moving and changing in front of you as you travel in that direction. For instance you would see that Horsehead nebula flow and move in the way that it has over the course of the last 10 billion years in fast motion until you finally reach what it actually looks like today.

I’m in awe of space & astronomy, and now photos of the universe here and way, way beyond. I always thought that light dissipates over distance; much the same way I cannot see my table lamp from a mere 2 miles away even if I had a direct view of the table lamp.

It will be interesting to see Euclid's progress as it creates the 3D map of the universe. Great content thanks!

Had no idea that we have the Euclid Telescope. The media never did a report on it. What a shame.

The reason persons commenting below have never heard of EUCLID is that, like many technologies, it is not an USA invention. EUCLID was developed by the European Space Agency but, as usual, information deemed unworthy of inclusion.

Stright to the facts and new findings, unlike other so called science channels that are mostly click bait and only recite platitudes...

Please explain the roles of Hubble, JWST and now Euclid. Are they in competition?

1:42 "is only possible, if dark matter play a crucial role in holding it together."
Can you elaborate more on this one? I heard that many astrophysicists are recently DOUBTING in existence of dark matter, as the recent observations from space telescopes revealed that universe behaves in the way that doesn't fit our understanding (like these very early, big galaxies, that "shouldn't exist" so short after Big Bang). Was this problem already sorted out that Dark Matter is back on its throne?
