During my trip to Sunny California, I had to make a pit-stop at the infamous Dave's Hot Chicken in LA to check it out. It certainly did not disappoint. Here is my attempt at recreating their Number 3 Combo Meal. Let's #MakeItHappen

Shopping List:
Brine:
4 boneless skinless chicken breast
1 1/2 c buttermilk
1/4 cup pickle juice
2 tbsps hot sauce
1 egg

2 cups all purpose flour
salt/pepper/garlic/cayenne/paprika

Hot Sauce:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup oil
2 tbsps cayenne pepper
paprika/garlic/salt/pepper/onion powder

Cole Slaw:
1-2 shredded carrots
1 package angel hair shredded cabbage
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup buttermilk
juice and zest 1 lemon
1/4 cup sweet relish
pinch of sugar
salt/pepper/garlic/onion powder

Dipping Sauce:
3/4 c mayo
1/4 c ketchup
1 tbsp worcestershire nashville hot chicken

The story is: it was a girlfriend and her boyfriend was a “ladies man”. He cheated on her so she made this as a revenge and he loved it so much he started selling them. So “we ladies” don’t need to do better, he needed to not cheat.
