Japchae meal prep for my FS rotation🥢
I’m finally in my last rotation for my internship (Foodservice!). So excited because this is the last stretch, but also that means I’m back to creating meal prep/recipe videos more regularly. Ya girl needs her lunch after all….
In case you didn’t know, Japchae is a popular Korean stir fry noodle dish that’s very flavorful and filling! I would’ve liked to use a wok, but honestly I was just too lazy to clean up after 😂
The base of the dish includes glass noodles, meat, and vegetables. It’s super versatile and you can adjust the recipe however you desire.

✨Base Ingredients:
Glass noodles
1 1/2 medium carrots, julienne cut
1 bell pepper, julienne cut
1/4 onion, diced
Handful of spinach
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups mushroom
Thinly sliced beef
Sesame seeds (optional)
✨Sauce:
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
✨Instructions:
-Prep your vegetables and sauce. Set aside
-Boil your preferred amount of glass noodles, strain, rinse, and cut with scissors
-Cook your vegetables with meat in this order to your desired softness: carrots, bell pepper, meat, mushroom, spinach, garlic
-Add noodles, pour sauce, and mix
-Distribute to meal prep containers and top with sesame seeds!
✨Notes:
-A little goes a long way! Start with boiling small amounts of glass noodles before adding more to get your desired amount
-Other meat can be used like pork or chicken
-If you prefer a vegetarian option, simply opt out of adding meat
-All vegetable amounts are based on your preference
