From Successful Business Man to Catholic Priest

On tonights FIreside Fr. Luke sits down with Father Marius O'Reilly. It seems like he really had things going for him, great business, loads of money. But something never settled with him and all that. Our Lord and Our Lady would eventually win him over to the Catholic Priesthood.
Fr. Maruis Is currently working zealously in the Diocese of Cork-Ross. He is a massive promotor of the Rosary. He also runs the Totus Tuus magazine.

Irish priests brought us the faith in my corner of Kenya. Growing up, my family was very close to a few priests who were like our big brothers. I thank God for Ireland. God bless your lovely green land.

Thank you for your wonderful testimony! Although I’m American, my heritage is 100% Irish. We were raised by a very strong catholic mom and when she passed in December all 10 of us remaining children said the Rosary on our knees at the wake. We grew up saying the Rosary every night. I can’t explain the energy in the room that night but it was so powerful. All the grandchildren felt it too. I credit her deep and abiding faith carried on to 11 children and 45 grandchildren to the faith she inherited from her parents from Ireland. The Catholic faith is the greatest gift she gave to us. To see what is happening in Ireland is so sad, but priests like you keep it going and bring hope to all!! I hope to get to Ireland someday and it is truly the only dream I have! I'm just now coming back to the Church, , and EVERYTHING about this talk was INSPIRATIONAL to me. I've heard that the state of the Church in Ireland is in disrepair, so it was a wonderful surprise to hear about the GOOD things that are happening there. My takeaway? When Father said that he read St Faustina's diary, my heart skipped a beat...a new ly ordained priest in my parish also said that the diary played a major role in him becoming a priest. Praise Jesus! I have great devotion to the The Divine Mercy...I just finished saying the Chaplet right before seeing this video and before that came home from venerating the relic of St Bernadette after Holy Mass in Metuchen, New Jersey, USA. Probably one of the most powerful calls to the priesthood I have heard of in modern times. It touched me so deeply and moved this 40 yo guy to tears because of the similarities I noticed in the Lords style and approach with him and in my own life. The Lord is ever so patient.
