Life in Tajikistan - The Best Bike Tour Destination | Cycling the World

The famous Pamir Highway is just around the corner when we meet our soon to be new cycling family. From the flatlands of Uzbekistan, the valleys of Tajikistan become narrower and the mountains grow higher and higher. When searching for a place to camp we stumble upon a patch with fruit trees and the owner kindly permits us to put up our tents. The next morning the lady of the house invites for tea, we think… After an extraordinary day through the mountains we find ourselves in a little town with no place to sleep. We ask the locals if they could help and sure enough everybody starts coming up with ideas. A kind man puts us up in his shed where we do a little cleanup before hitting the hay 😉

Again and again we see proof of how nice the people are out there. I wish I was younger, seeiing this all makes me feel like I could do these travels also. It looks like it enriches your own life and gives also the feeling it would not have to be all as luxureous as we have here in the "rich" west! I wonder who feels "richer", 'cause a rich mind looks like the true wealth!! It amazes me more and more, so many happy faces!!! Great so see!!!

I have to say on this video all of those beautiful children were the "STARS". ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Curious little ones, so precious. The two women who giggled when you were filming them were very excited to be filmed I think. Wow, if that was just breakfast, i bet lunch and dinner needed 2 tables to place the food. How gracious and hospitable those lovely folks are.❤ The couple your were traveling with go very fast on their bikes. How many miles per hour do you think you were going down that big hill? It was FLASH, and you passed by. So fast, so in control. Wonderful
