Music for videos:

Software:
DaVinci Resolve on PC
LumaFusion on iPad

All my gear is meticulously researched and set up for a "run and gun" style of shooting. I film everything myself so I need gear that is (A) portable and (B) of the highest possible quality for a decent price.

Great video! I agree that the 350M is still super relevant today.

Totally agree with you. I have the rg350p and never upgraded it with any custom firmware. Last week I installed the Adam image and is like giving a second life again to my console. I found also a channel where they show you how to install a 640x480 screen to this device like the 350m, that is crazy!! It really worth it in 2023

15:50 I'm quite sure the flickering you see in this game is exactly the same flickering you get on the original hardware as well, it's not a bug of the emulator, it's just a limitation of that particular console that doesn't handle more than 8 sprites in one row

Great Review! Got mine in 2020 which was also my first 3rd party pocket console!

Hey this is pretty nice review! I bought an rg350m last fall without doing much research, and as a result felt that I was missing out on some features. But after watching this I think I'm a little more confident in my purchase, since I generally only use my rg350m at home. If anyone out there is considering buying one, the IPS screen alone is worth it. Game Boy games look so crisp compared to playing them on unmodded Nintendo handhelds. Like you said, the later generation console emulators are really just bonuses.

I’ve had this since just before the RG351M released and I’ve only turned it on once haha. I’m gonna crack it out I reckon!

Hi Adin, great videos, your intros are sick. I saw your other 350m video and frankly, jumping back and forth with retro game corps. I agree with all you've said, this is the perfect sweet spot, you don't need a to go higher... but, silly thing, I actually prefer the CPS3 range of arcade games... and I think this processor can't cut it. Then, the 351 line does it, but I think the screen proportions and res takes a hit. The good thing, ironically, is the 351 line I think is like around 20 bucks cheaper on the Ali site?? Anyway, I'll add, I noticed the playgo. It's under 70 usd, large screen, and also the 640 res, with the same processor as your 350m. I'd love to hear some more ideas or thinking you have on this as of today 6months after this video.

I wonder when there will be a new Adam Image version released..? Can't find much info online. Hopefully HDMI support and performance get a little better by time..

And also there a many faulty devices in 2022. Seems the quality (control) dropped insanly. You need to be lucky to get a good one at first try now.

I wonder if your 350m still gets any use? I am happy with my rp3+...but my 350m has been where I have continued to play DOOM...and love the LCD filter for Gameboy and GBA...via Adam Image. Just put the latest (perhaps last?) Adam Image on mine. Quake and Quake 2 pretty much sorted...and Amiga games, now working great. All of this along with Scummvm games I think will remain 350m territory...everything else on my 3+...PSP, widescreen hacked DC/Naomi/Atomiswave and Android games mainly at the moment. It is my rp2+ that is getting a bit neglected...but I do like having it hanging around...and make an effort to play something on it now and again.

Hi Adin, thanks for you awesome video! BTW did you manage to get HDMI-Out working with Adam Image on this 350M model? I couldn't get it to work...

The RG350M is a beautiful premium feel Gameboy without the premium cost of an Analogue Pocket or a custom modded GBA. It starts quicker than a RG351MP, which actually makes it superior for quick play on old games.

This little machine will be a relevant handheld "for me" for a good while to come! I've been enjoying your vids and reviews for a few months off n on now, and only just realized that I'm not sub'd...I fixed that in a jif! 👾 Hey...have you been able to get your hands on the rg300x yet? Some don't like it but it has become my fav simple device for NES, GBA, and even atari7800!! If you can scrounge one up cheap, I'd fall on it as it's a solid little device in my own opinion. 👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾
