However, our work is often focused on specialized niche topics that are only read by a limited number of people. Nevertheless, it is important to emphasize that historical research provides the foundation for our understanding of history and identity.

Historians contribute to society by exposing historical misinterpretations, correcting misperceptions, and helping to form our own identities. We help view the past objectively and expose political agendas that rely on a faulty use of history.
