Impossible for the spectator version, since they start with and even parity (if you count the number of upright tumblers) and you went then to achieve odd parity. You can give them fifty moves if you want, they can never do it since any move (flipping two tumblers) always preserves the parity.

Why not just move A and C in one move. Then they are all upright in one move

This is very good. Very simple trick but could fool a lot of people.
