"A couple of months ago, I bought my first barefoot shoes."

**Meanwhile, inside my brain**
"Oh my dear God. Do you mean to tell me people are actually selling shoes without soles right now?"

While I have never been majorly into wearing high heels like most girls and I wore wide shoes like Birkenstock, Born, and others forever, a year ago I started wearing barefoot shoes like Merrell for walking and living with zero heels, not even an inch. Six months ago I tried Vivo Barefoot daily do everything shoes. I even bought a male pair because they did not have my size in women's. The male version was WIDE, THE Gobi II and I LOVE them. It has been difficult to wear anything else. They do NOT look sexy at all, but for me, healthy is sexy. The healthier I am, the sexier I become, at least to myself. With Vivo, I spent $300+ on two pairs of shoes, but I am worth it. I liken regular shoes to a mattress, which I CANNOT sleep on. Beds and couches are just like padded soft over padded running shoes. They are HORRIBLE for the body. I have sleeping on the floor most of my adult life either on a thin futon or just on a comforter on carpeted floor. At 59, my body is STILL healthy 😜 and my feet are STILL beautiful because I have not ruined my feet by cramming them into narrow high heeled shoes. I understand those who talk about the cost of Vivo and most barefoot shoes. Right now, not my problem because I earn a good living and I spend my money happily on stuff that contribute to my health and natural beauty. Loved this video because of the humor and the points about wearing barefoot shoes when dressing up. I have a 9--5 professional job and as a girl wearing barefoot shoes, I get comments and stares that I am wearing tennis shoes when I wear my Vivo Gobi II, which to me, are like flat Oxfords, lol, but to each his own. One female colleague, which major feet problem stares in disbelief when I bounce around the office in my Vivo Gobi II, but I am addicted. I am addicted to feeling my feet move in EVERY direction all day. The women in my office may snicker at my boyish, pediatric looking shoes, but I stare into space as they talk about plantar sciatic nerve pain, hip pain, backpain, etc, which are all caused, in part, by tight high heeled, any heeled shoes! This is by far the best and funniest video on simply why to wear barefoot shoes. 😍😍😍 Thank you!

To all of you talking about how high quality they are, I have to add that i have a couple of these Vivo's one Gobi the canvas model and one the Hiker model. The hiker's bottom surface got destroyed after a few days of hiking in Dolomites which was pretty upsetting. The canvas Gobi shoes lost their colour after just a few months of use and the rubber split from the canvas in a few places as well as the rubber 'coating' got ripped on the sides of the shoes. I love the comfort and design of these shoes, but the overall quality did not impress me after using them.. Especially not for that price.. Also, I took back the Gobi model to have them replaced or something under warranty, but they have only glued them not so well, though..

The oven mitt line was pure sorcery — I don't believe I had any control in hitting the like button. Well done 👏

Also all-around solid review. Gonna give the Gobi IIs a try. Thanks!

I think the feeling must be similar to the one you get when you switch back to wearing converse after a whole winter wearing thick soled boots. Since I love walking with bare feet, I'm gonna look into these barefoot shoes for summer, but I still love my heavy winter boots :)

My main problem with "normal" shoes is that they are much too narrow. It has gotten so bad that my left food has started to make cracking noises when I "push off" I mainly use sandals or barefoot shoes now.

I'm wearing barefootshoes exclusively for about 8 months now, and i will probably never go back to regular shoes. my feet hurt much less after a long day of crushing heels first/straight leg into the ground. Also it's great fun to actually pay attention to where you are stepping, especially in the woods or something like that. Another brand i would suggest are Wildling shoes. They started of making childrens shoes, but now they offer up to EU size 46 and they are really great and also produced in Portugal instead of China while not being more expensive.

Love the humor sprinkled in. Keep going pal.
Could you cover how to train deltoids/shoulders with bodyweight exercises? Without rings if possible.

Have you checked out Xero shoes? They're shoes are good quality barefoot shoes and around like $30 less expensive than Vivo.

bought gobi II few months ago and I wear them everyday, even for work (they are well made, make you feel what is under your foot, and are easy to clean) totally worth the money

Oh yeah, as if the shoes I'm wearing now wasn't expensive enough... that shit is literally half the material and twice the price.
