Hi Guys, thanks so much for the blessing of this song. I've been ministering in the Prisons of South Africa for around 6 years and lately the young men I spend time with have been gripped by this song and yesterday a young man stood in front of 100+ other offenders and boldly and beautifully song this song to his fellow inmates (6 months ago he could only sing in the shower, gripped by fear to use the gifting and talent God had given him) This song was a way for him to practically share the testimony of what God has done in his life lately and to see other offenders responding to the gospel as a result was just amazing, a real special God moment. Who unlikes this? The first time I heard this song was by Sara Groves on a video during the International Prayer Gathering for IJM in DC. I looked it up after hearing it and when I heard the original by Jonathan and Melissa, I cried. I have had this song on my mind since I heard it last year and I play it over and over.

This testimonial song really fits me. I've been serving God for almost a decade but I still have fears withing me. Always afraid of doing and stepping on my faith. But I believe the Lord will Himself soon deliver me from this. Next month is another challenge for me to truly trust in the Lord and not be afraid for what is to come, because just like what He did when He split the sea so that His people can walk thru it, He will surely give me victory over my licensure examination.

It hit a nerve when I first heard Chevelle Franklin sang it & then Joshua Sherman came to our church and did it - "You split the sea so I could walk right through it, my fears are drowned in perfect love" - As a black person I grew up hearing all the stories how our ancestors were slaves so somehow that line resonate with me knowing I'm no longer a slave to anyone or to sin - Also I was struck by lightning twice as a child so I grew up with a lot of fears and just 3yrs ago I realised I was delivered - I didn't know I was delivered until one day I was caught outside alone in a thunderstorm and didn't care. - I am a child of God.
